Gratefully, we can save a bit even beyond that!

L’Oreal’s New Innovations in Hair Dye

Yesterday’s WWD reports that L’Oreal Professional has just launched a new ammonia-free hair dye, Inoa.
While there’s obviously other ammonia-free lines out there, this one is said to be unique in that it’s said to “lift color up to three levels, covers gray and has true-to-tone color results”.
An excerpt from the article:
The science behind Inoa is deceptively simple. Instead of ammonia, the product contains monoethanolamine, which traditionally does not cover gray as well and cannot lighten hair as much as traditional products. But by adding an oil-based gel to the monoethanolamine color concentrate, plus the cream developer, L’Oréal researchers determined it …read more
Sweet Smelling Ice Age Fun For Kids

Growing up, my kids loved the L’Oreal Kids 2-in-1 shampoos. With fun fruit scents and fish-shaped bottles, they made bath-time fun. The shampoos were, as they still are, gentle to a child’s fragile hair and tear-free for their eyes.
To celebrate the opening of the new animated feature Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs movie, L’Oreal Kids has a set of limited edition Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs-themed shampoos available now.
There are four in all and each shampoo is made with L’Oreal’s special 2-in-1 formula. Included you will find Ellie’s Orangesaurus with a sweet citrus scent, Diego’s Man-Eating Melon shampoo …read more

I Tried Loreal’s New Mascara With the Tubes

And now for something unrelated to scent, but still related to the Beauty and Style Channel……..
I picked up Loreal’s new mascara with the “tubes.” Loreal’s Double Extend Beauty Tubes Technology.
I wanted to see for myself how well it worked. I’m pretty impressed. I don’t know about an 80% boost in length, but my lashes do look much longer. I’m sure that with practice I will get the hang of the two brush system and be able to use the product more effectively.
It’s a two-step process that you perform on one eye completely, before applying to the other eye. It washes …read more
A friendly note to L’Oreal’s haircare division

I think it might be worth a shot to write an open letter to L’Oreal, with a bit of friendly advice, so here goes. I purchased a bottle of their reformulated Vive Pro conditioner. It’s for “unmanageable hair” which is definitely what I have going on. The formula is great – I use a pretty good amount, leave it on for five minutes, and comb my hair then let it air dry. With just a little bit of styling creme, my hair looks passable. That’s really all I’m aiming for these days.
With such a decent formula, …read more
