Perfume of the Day: Untitled #3 by Sarah Horowitz

I’ve reviewed quite a few Creative Scentualizations fragrances before. This Untitled #3 scent is not reminiscent of those – and in fact I like it even better. The light, flowery notes are bookended by…something darker. Just around the corner. The red amber lacks sweetness and is an unfamiliar twist. The gardenia notes are greenish and buoyant. Perfume of the Day – Aqaba by Aqaba

Another one of my new samples, I wore this very interesting scent today.  It is immediately quite soapy on me, but wore down into a spicy, sweet,  and slightly floral melange.  Liz Taylor, before she wore White Diamonds, could have worn this in her role as Cleopatra.

Tauer Perfumes – L’air du desert marocain

The first of many reviews from my latest luckyscent sample venture:   I thought I’d start by simply picking the first one to come out of the package.
Immediately it is bracing, head clearing, herbal.  Vetiver, but it has a sense of eucalyptus or clary sage.  Close behind is the Vanilla/ambergris, unmistakeable and beautiful.  I don’t sense the lemon at all.  Subtle, but powerful nonetheless.  It really stayed with me throughout the day.  I am very impressed with the juxtaposition of ‘dry’ and ’sweet’.  The patchouli is there but mercifully does not predominate.   If you are a more natural type, not …read more
