I’ve reviewed quite a few Creative Scentualizations fragrances before. This Untitled #3 scent is not reminiscent of those – and in fact I like it even better. The light, flowery notes are bookended by…something darker. Just around the corner. The red amber lacks sweetness and is an unfamiliar twist. The gardenia notes are greenish and buoyant. I would catch whiffs of this periodically and it is quite arresting, and as I said, just unfamiliar. It is a perfume oil so a tiny bit will do for a long time. $65 for [...]
Post from: Splendicity.
$65 for 8ml at Luckyscent.

From Luckyscent:
You are alone in the museum on a mid-week afternoon. The cool, watery sunlight of late autumn slants through deserted space, your footsteps echo as you wander through unfamiliar corridors. You stumble upon a strange room, hung with thick and dusty tapestries. Solemn, wide-eyed saints in cracked enamel stare from the velvety shadows and a gleam of silver catches your eye in the dim light – an austerely beautiful chalice, set with a single deep purple stone. Simple and stunning and possibly enchanted. Sarah Horowitz, the brilliant creator of Creative Scentualization, has crafted an evocative blend that feels precious, mysterious and timeless. A light and sparkling yuzu gives way to the ethereal sweetness of violets. Their delicacy is balanced by smooth red amber, which gives the violets weight without ever overpowering them, and a whispery blend of coriander and sandalwood. The result is soaring and spiritual, but full of shadows, like the high vaulted ceiling of a gothic cathedral. A scent that captures the hushed and melancholy beauty of twilight.

UNTITLED #3 by Sarah Horowitz notes
Yuzu, African Violet, Gardenia, Coriander, Tunisian Red Amber, East Indian Sandalwood, light Musk

Luckyscent has this to say about it:

Sweeter than midnight
More secret than the rose”"

Aqaba- a jeweled city on an ancient caravan route, through which camels laden with luxurious cargoes of incense, gold and gemstones passed as the Queen of Sheba traveled to meet King Solomon. An encounter that sparked a legendary passion. This tantalizing fragrance inspired by the charismatic queen uses ingredients from the traditional art of Arabian perfumery. It opens with a deep, powerful rose blended with warm spices and precious frankincense. It mellows into a beguiling spicy sweetness with amazing lasting power. Thrillingly seductive we think it would have suited the queen perfectly.

Aqaba notes
Eqyptian jasmine, Bulgarian rose, cinnamon, clove, cardamom, damask rose, frankincense, peach, tea leaves, white cedarwood, oak moss

The first of many reviews from my latest luckyscent sample venture: I thought I’d start by simply picking the first one to come out of the package.
Immediately it is bracing, head clearing, herbal. Vetiver, but it has a sense of eucalyptus or clary sage. Close behind is the Vanilla/ambergris, unmistakeable and beautiful. I don’t sense the lemon at all. Subtle, but powerful nonetheless. It really stayed with me throughout the day. I am very impressed with the juxtaposition of ‘dry’ and ’sweet’. The patchouli is there but mercifully does not predominate. If you are a more natural type, not [...]
Post from: Splendicity.
$80 for 50 ml at Luckyscent.

the scoop
‘Imagine finding peace in a room, lying on the bed, exhausted from the heat of the day, with the window open, letting the cool air in which still is very dry and filled with the scents from the near desert and overlayed with the spicy scents of the streets below.’ – Andy Taeur

L’Air du Desert Marocain is the scent of desire, inspired by the fragrant world of the Maghreb desert, powerful, sensual and pure. It’s a dry, resinous cedar scent, rounded out with rock rose and jasmine, and hints of typical Moroccan spices such as coriander, cumin and petitgrain. A unisex scent, the cedar and vetiver base notes hover over a fine amber background. We are in love with this exotic beauty by Swiss perfumer Andy Tauer.

L’Air du desert marocain notes
Coriander, Petitgrain (Bitter orange), Lemon, Bergamot, Jasmin, Cistus, Bourbon, Geranium, Cedarwood, Vetiver, Vanille, Patchouli and Ambergris
