Traffic Stopping Prada Handbags

I’ve talked about resort collection handbags here and most of them have been pretty tame in colour and material. Never really veering towards too loud or obnoxious. However, Prada has decided to go to the other side of the spectrum with these two bright and colourful handbags from their resort collection. It begs the question, “What were they thinking?”
As you can see, the Prada Saffiano Fori Shoulder Bag ($1295) and the Saffiano Fori Boston Bag (pre-order, $1650) are bright. Neon bright, even. I do respect the design aspect of these bags. It has a South Beach, Miami feel to it …read more

Highly Covet-able Botkier Venice Satchel

Do you remember the gorgeous coral coloured Botkier tote I featured yesterday? Well, I just fell in love with another Botkier handbag and this time it’s in the all time classic colour, black.
As some of you may know I’ve been on this seemingly never-ending search for the perfect black bag. I haven’t been able to narrow down my choices just yet, but this Botkier Venice Satchel ($595) has definitely secured a place on my most wanted list!
The Botkier Venice Satchel ($595) has the classic qualities I love about satchels mixed with a little bit of a street edge. I adore …read more

Soft & Stylish Botkier Noa Tote

I currently do not own any Botkier handbags but I’ve definitely been following the line quite closely and have featured a few of them on this blog. From what I’ve seen, Botkier handbags are ultra luxe, practical, versatile and timeless in their designs and leather choices. I can see why this brand is popular with fashionistas and celebrities alike.
I was browsing through Neiman Marcus today and saw this lovely handbag. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was a Botkier! The Noa Tote ($575) is a fabulous tote bag, easily carried on the shoulder it will take you from the office …read more

Feminine & Flirty Lanvin Shoulder Bags

Sure we all want handbags that are functional and versatile to take us from the office to the weekend. But sometimes, one wants a handbag (or two) that is just pretty and feminine. Cue in Lanvin!
Lanvin handbags are a fun and functional mix of chains, ribbons and leather. While with some handbags with that combination can end up looking tacky (some Juicy Couture bags come to mind…), Lanvin knows how to keep things balanced.
The gorgeous and lady like Lanvin Happy Shoulder Bag ($1695) reminds me of the Chanel flap bags but with a twist. The twist is the black velvet …read more

Dolce & Gabbana Miss Escape Floral Tote

While the Valentino tote I posted yesterday is beautiful, the price tag is a bit hefty. If you want to dive into the floral trend for Fall but don’t want a bag that’s as extravagant and busy as the Valentino tote, I highly suggest picking up this lovely bag from Dolce & Gabbana!
The Dolce & Gabbana Miss Escape Floral Tote ($995) is much tamer in comparison (and a teeny bit cheaper) and thus more wearable and versatile. Perfect as an every day bag, this will take you from work to weekend shopping trips.  What strikes me about this bag is …read more

Designer Profile : Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang handbags have been seen on just about every major style icon like from Mary-Kate Olsen to Nicole Richie just to name a few.
A native San Franciscan, Alexander Wang moved to New York at 18 to attend Parsons School of Design. He began designing his first collection during his sophomore year using the downtown street lifestyle, 80s influences and French chic fashions as his inspiration.
Alexander Wang launched his clothing line in 2007 which consisted of sexy and slouchy tees, tanks and dresses.  It was his vision and line’s cool, downtown aesthetic that won him the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund …read more

YSL Topaz Muse Handbag

The Yves Saint Laurent Large Muse Handbag isn’t anything new. It’s been seen on the arms of such A list celebs as Jessica Alba, Demi Moore and Jennifer Lopez. It’s available in many colors as well. Catching it in a luxurious black or white is always a site to see. The bag measures 17 inches wide by 11 inches high by 5 inches deep. It’s a definite “big bag” which you’ll be able to fit a lot of great goodies in. Whether you’re toting around stuff for the kids or stuff for a job interview you’ll have enough space.

Spoil Yourself with this Bottega Veneta

Do you want to treat yourself to a new handbag? Do you have say, $19,500 lying around?  To be clear, that’s nineteen thousand five hundred US dollars.
If you do have the cash (hello, please adopt me?) and want to spoil yourself you can pick up this mind numbingly expensive Bottega Veneta bag!
From afar, the Bottega Veneta Large Veneta Crocodile Bag looks like your regular, run of the mill hobo but up close is where you’ll see why this bag is worth so much money. For instance, it’s made out of crocodile skin and that stuff doesn’t come cheap ladies!  It’s …read more

Versace New Couture Leather Hobo

There’s not a whole lot I like about the current 80s fashion revival. I’m not a fan of shoulder pads no matter how minimal or the invasion of leggings. However, I can appreciate a few of the studded bags and bold, brightly coloured accessories as long as they’re done tastefully.
This new Versace hobo is a prime example of those bright yet sophisticated accessories that are making an impact.
As you can see the Versace New Couture Leather Hobo isn’t something you’ll be able to ignore. The Acid Green colour is quite an attention grabber but what I love most about …read more

Prada Fall Runway Bags

This season Prada is showing us what drama means by way of their latest handbag line up. The Prada Fall runway handbag collection includes tried and true classic leather bags with bags that are opulent, eye-catching and quite spectacular.
Prada Tessuto Ricamo Tote ($3695) – With all the sequins on this bag it would definitely weigh a ton if it were leather. However it’s made out of black nylon. It features floral embroidery that is embellished with sequins all over the front of the bag. The double handles are leather and a detachable shoulder strap is included. The size is generous …read more
