Estee Lauder recently introduced their limited edition Sumptuous Color Bold Lifting Mascara. Inspired by the colorful fall runway looks of John Galliano and Marc Jacobs, this mascara offers bold color and avante-garde glamour. It’s definitely daring but not overwhelming.
You can find Estee Lauder Sumptuous Color Bold Lifting Mascara in five amazing shades: Amber, Garnet, Sapphire, Amethyst and Emerald. You can wear them alone for a dramatic pop of color or layering the color on top of your regular black …read more

If you love wearing false eyelashes to get that glamour girl look, then you are in luck. For fall, ultra-long lashes are going to be very trendy. But if you don’t like the hassle of putting on fake lashes, then you can still embrace the trend by using a lengthening mascara. Recently, I had an opportunity to try out the new CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara that is hitting stores this fall and I was really impressed.
This mascara is created from a unique formula that contains actual nylon fibers (the same material used for lash extensions). Their flexible Elasta-Nylon formula provides …read more

Flip It: Lorac Special Effects Mascara

Most of the time when I buy cosmetics with a “double-ended wand,” I find myself never using the second end. For example, I have a few eyeliner pencils that have a smudging tip when you flip it around — I never use them. A while back, I tried Lorac Special Effects Mascara. This is one product that I definitely use both ends of the wand.
On one side is a fabulous mascara. It lengthens and stretches your lashes, leaving them long, lush and clump-free. It’s a really good mascara in a shiny shade of black.
However, before you apply the mascara, flip …read more

I love “gifts with purchase.” After a trip to Clinique and Estee Lauder counters (among others), I love coming home and opening the little packages of treasure. No matter if it’s a lipstick, skin cream or makeup bag, I adore the “free” bonuses.
Right now at Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com, you can get a free deluxe sample of Extremist Mascara in Noir with any Rock & Republic cosmetic purchase of two or more items. You might know Rock & Republic more so for their jeans, but they also have a terrific line of makeup.

When you are applying that extra swipe of mascara, the long term ramifications and risks of eye cosmetics probably aren’t on your mind. It’s easy to take it for granted – until you have a problem with one of your eyes (or worse – both of them), they just sort of…work.
But the risks are real – and if you wear contact lenses, then there is even greater room for eye cosmetics to cause damage to your eyes. So what can you do in order to enjoy your eye cosmetics without putting your eyesight at risk?
