Did you know that the Swiss Army Knifepeople made fragrance? No? Me neither, but they do. The newest Victorinox Swiss Army fragrance is Swiss Unlimited Eau de Toilette for men.
Developed with natural essences originally found in Switzerland, the new Victorinox Fragrance has a taste of true authenticity. Savor the unique and aromatic scent of Genepi liquor and Absinth with the invigorating woody freshness of the Swiss Alps Silver Fir.
Swiss Army offers something interesting with their fragrances. You can get a complementary U-fill tool. The refillable bottle by itself looks like this……

Justin Timberlake Is the Face of Play

Everything Justin Timberlake touches seems to turn to gold. He’s got a can’t-miss combination of talent, looks, and cool that help to keep him continually in the forefront of the entertainment industry. Now, he’s the face of Givenchy’s new male fragrance Play.
I got a sample of Play today. The bottle is reminiscent of a mp3 player. Cute. The fragrance is fruity, but not too sweet. It has a sandalwood quality to it, but that’s not one of the notes.
It smells clean, without smelling like soap. It’s made for men and I intended to give it to my boyfriend, but I …read more
It’s Okay To Borrow From the Boys

I like bold scents and sometimes I like to wear a men’s fragrance or use a men’s body wash or deodorant. I like the spiciness of men’s products and the woody notes seem woodier.
One of the men’s fragrances that I like to use is CLEAN Shower Fresh for Men. It has a combination of citrus, spice, wood with notes of Bergamot, Lemon, Thyme, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Spearmint, Muguet, Black Tea, and Cedarwood. And I really like the smokey leathery scent of the new AXE Instinct body wash. (I sneak it from my son).
L’OCCITANE en Provence is a unisex scent made with …read more

I was watching a tribute to Michael Jackson on MTV this morning with my kids. They were running music for once. (Too much reality tv on MTV). It featured various recording artists who shared about the influence Michael Jackson had on their work.
One of these artists was Ne-Yo. I’ve never been a fan, not that I’m anti-Ne-Yo, it’s just that I’m more of a Rock girl. I really never paid attention to him before. He is really a lovely-looking man, very dapper, very well put together. I pointed this out to my oldest daughter and she agreed when I said, …read more

Burberry’s The Beat for Men is a favorite of my handsome boyfriend, Mark. I gave him a bottle earlier this Summer and he told me that he uses it everyday. I like it, too, and I think it smells a bit like a pencil. Mark would love this gift set available at Ulta. It contains a 3.3 ounce Eau de Toilette Spray, 3.3 ounce After Shave Balm, and a 3.3 ounce Shower Gel.

Fans of Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey will be happy to hear that he will be launching his second AVON fragrance for men in November. Dempsey and AVON teamed up last Summer on the scent Unscripted.
The notes for the new fragrance, called “2,” will be of a woody/fruity blend. They will include; mandarin, nutmeg, spiced wood accord, and patchouli.
People’s StyleWatch has this quote from Patrick Dempsey explaining the fragrance concept:
“It’s about the intimacy of two people and the strength you get in a relationship. I thought, why don’t we just go with ‘2′ and make this about being a couple.”

It’s June and you are probably mulling around gift ideas for Father’s Day. May I suggest the gift of fragrance? I’ll share a few favorites and a few new scents with you this month, to see if I can help make shopping for Dad a little easier.
Dolce & Gabbana’s scent for men, Light Blue Pour Homme, is meant to create a Mediterranean state of mind. Cool, fresh, sexy, masculine. This 2008 Fifi’s Fragrance of the Year winner is a Chypre scent with the combination of bergamot, citrus, and woodiness.

L’Eau par Kenzo Eau Indigo – A Review

Kenzo’s Indigo scents for men and women – L’Eau par Kenzo Eau Indigo – were created to complement each other.
As night falls, L’eau par Kenzo becomes Eau Indigo, a pair of sensual fragrances for him and her inspired by the seductive dance of color and scent as dusk sets on water.
I was excited to try the Indigo duo because, as I’ve mentioned before, I am a Kenzo fan. I assembled my usual testing crew to try the scents out. This includes my daughter, Bailey, my mom, Sandy, my daughter, Sarah, and Greg, Bay’s boyfriend. We loved all the scents, Bay, …read more
Aggressive Men’s Fragrance Packaging
May 22, 2009 by Michelle Smith

I was clicking around Ulta today and I saw Diesel’s Only the Brave Eau De Toilette. The bottle is a big blue fist, gripping what I think is supposed to be a bottle of cologne. Very aggressive looking. Like a punch in the face. I’ve noted in the past, the trend of male scents and their “manly” bottles. I’m not sure that I get it. Fragrance, isn’t it supposed to be subtle, sort of a sense of something wonderful around you that someone else can’t quite put their finger on?
Why the in-your-face packaging? Does that make sense? An example, Hugo …read more
