Men’s Feather Hoodie

I know. I almost never write about stuff for guys. But let’s be honest about who my demographic is. I know. Some of you have boyfriends, or better yet, some of y’all are just not scared to rock something from the boy’s section. Well, here’s something.
Shazaam. I’m freaking out about how much I love this hoodie. The photorealistic feather is really spot on. It adds the perfect little touch of artsy ethereal badass to your comfy cozy sweats. White on black is a major plus. Downsides? None that I can see, except that I literally own like 20 other hoodies. …read more

Do You Wear Menswear-Inspired Coats?

I need to get more blazers for fall; what about you? I was on the search this weekend, and I came up with an awesome one over at Talbots for a little more than my average budget, but well worth it. It’s available up to size 20, and will be perfect for recycling all those bow-front shirts in chiffon and silk.
This jacket has a special tailored look that’s still comfortable, with a blend of body-friendly Lycra. It has multiple pockets and is fully lined, so you truly are getting your money’s worth. This jacket won’t go out of style!

For the Gents: Solid Satin Tie by J. Crew

Coordinating wedding ensembles can be something of a juggling act, especially when it comes to men. Because while they may wear whatever you ask them to, if you aren’t paying close attention, some details may fall through the cracks. For example, all my fiancés groomsmen are wearing black suits. Black suits with ties. When I asked what color, I was greeting with a look of confusion and a somewhat sheepish, “I don’t know. I didn’t think about that.” (Fascinating, since every woman I know has her outfit planned out down to her panties!) Well, I decided to do a little …read more

fine jewelry week: tanya igic

I never really thought of leather as a sculpting material, but Tanya Igic has totally changed my mind on leather as art.
Igic is a jewelry designer from Serbia, but based in the UK. Her jewelry is perfectly sculpted. The first few images I looked at, I had to blink a few times to believe it was leather I was looking at. When I think of leather, I think of coats and thick sturdy bags, not fine, dainty earrings.

The “After the Snow” collection is one of my favorites. The collection is inspired by snowdrops, which is manifested as bright …read more

for the guys: pulp bracelet

I don’t do men’s fashion too much, but this bracelet seems like a little bit unisex even, if not a tad more masculine. It’s simple lines and supple, worn leather look are really appealing to me. I can easily see myself or any of the men in my life donning this with no problem. ($170)

fashion week: vena cava 08 RTW

OK, I’ve never covered fashion week before, so everyone is going to have to bear with me. I’ll say right now that I’m not there and I wish that I was, so i could tell you up close and personal what is going on for the shows. But I will try to poke around to other sites to get you a conglomeration of coverage and highlight my favorites.
And yes, it’s Thursday. I’m late to the party, as always. But with no delay, a few pics (via style.com) of the Vena Cava show.

Looking at the show there’s lots and lots of …read more
