Slice of the Sweet Life from Anthropologie

Do you want a slice of chocolate pie? You might be wondering why I’m asking you that when you’re reading a post under the handbag category. Well, it’s because the name of this fabulous new bag at Anthropologie is called Chocolate Pie and it’s very decadent!
How apropos is that name for this yummy piece of arm candy? The dark chocolate brown leather lattice work on this super slouchy hobo covers the dark chocolate filling (ok, it’s the lining). It’s wonderfully detailed and quite roomy at 18″H x 12″W x 5″D. This is the perfect every day bag to schlep all …read more
Bright & Blue Dautore Leather Hobo

There’s something about the colour cobalt blue that makes me stop in my tracks. Cobalt blue is such a stunning colour and it’s a shame we don’t see a lot more of it in accessories. Dautore must have thought the same because for their fall and winter line Dautore has used the colour in their new hobo.
The Dautore Linking Strap Leather Hobo ($580) is a stylish looking bag. Aside from the pretty colour, the other stand out feature is of course, the silver toned chain links on the strap. It’s the only embellishment on this otherwise simple hobo. This bag …read more

Burberry Hearts You

It seems Burberry is in a hurry to usher in Valentine’s Day super early with their Hearts collection of handbags. This collection is something I feel is targeted towards the younger crowd as the patterns and prints are a bit on the cutesy side of the spectrum. Though, these are little more refined than their previous offerings…
Burberry Painted Hearts Tote ($595) – The signature Burberry plaid pattern gets a little splatter of red hearts in this fun canvas and leather trim tote.
Burberry Confetti Hearts Tote ($495) – This is a tote I wouldn’t mind getting myself. The confetti hearts pattern …read more

Out of all the exotic skinned bags I’ve seen and featured, it seems as if python is the front runner. It’s every where! Even one of my favourite handbag designers, Rebecca Minkoff, has come out with a line of python embossed bags.
If you really want a show stopper kind of bag, this one will do the trick.
Rebecca Minkoff Nikki Python Embossed Micro Fiber Hobo ($395) in yellow python (also available in tan) is a more affordable option if you want to get in on the trend. The Nikki is a big hobo bag that measures 17.5″W x 14.5″H x 2.5″D …read more

One of the best parts of my job is discovering new designers. There are loads of well known, new and upcoming handbag designers on the market today and it can get a little overwhelming for handbag lovers, especially for those of you who might be new to the whole designer bag market. I’d like to establish a new series where I will profile new and established bag designers so we can all get to know the artists behind each brand and new “it” bag.
Let’s start off with a designer you may not be all too familiar with, Gorjana. You …read more
Mini Trend : Crossbody Bags

I was at the mall yesterday and apparently there’s a bit of a mini-trend in the handbag department. I noticed more labels are creating small crossbody bags or you can also call them mini messenger bags or mini shoulder bags.
I’m on the fence about this actually. On one hand they’re all very convenient and sometimes you do need to go hands-free whilst running errands or even shopping and they’re also great for travel. However, their small size is limiting. Unless of course, you only carry around the bare necessities, in that case, you’re golden.
I checked out the Saks website and …read more
