If you continue to follow Indie Fashion here on Splendicity, you will surely notice that I have a bit of a shoe fetish. When I saw these Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte shoes, worn on the runway in Milan, I actually gasped and sighed.
There is something so fetish futuristic about them. The white leather combined with the steel trap heels is pure genius, and the multiple layers of straps, clasps, and padlocks is absolutely to die for. I adore vintage and antique purses – I’ve got quite a few in my own personal collection There’s something about the attention to detail and delicacy that older evening bags have.
I was tickled pink to see that Anna Sui is using some of the vintage purses as inspiration for her Fall 2008 Collection in Milan:
