Currently we’re suffering through a drought here in perpetually sunny Southern California. What some of us would give to have just a bit of rain (or snow! ) to replenish our supplies and turn our nearly dead lawns green again. Modcloth is a great place to shop for reasonably priced vintage reproductions and indie labels. They always have something cute that catches my eye. And now they’re instituting “Twelvsies Tuesdays”, a weekly sale where 12 items are 12% off. These are newish items, not older stock, like your usual sale. In other words, things that won’t be on sale if you check back on Wednesday, so I feel like it is my duty to spread the word.

I’ve been spending some time together on Polyvore lately, putting together some indie, or at least partially indie, looks that I like. I wanted to create a out-for-the-night look that is simple, reasonably-priced (for the most part), and also part high fashion, part street.
I found this fabulous 80’s inspired dress by TopShop, which, even if they haven’t opened up yet in the states, you can still purchase online. I discovered a really cute site today called Mod Cloth. It was founded Susan Gregg during the summer after she graduated from high school, as a hobby. You see, she couldn’t pass up a bargain on a cute piece of clothing, even if it didn’t fit her. So she started selling stuff on her site.
