There’s a week left in the Torrid House of Dreams Model Search, and models/potential models from age 16 and size 12-26 are welcome to apply. Applications need to be submitted by August 7th, and you can either email or snail mail them. You need to submit two of your best pics, so it sounds like it’s time to get snapping (or poring over those 5×7s)!

Fluvia Lacerda is one of my favorite plus-size models, and I know that plus-size modeling in general is a pretty popular subject. Even week, I get emails from people asking how they can become plus-size models. I think that they should check out Fluvia Lacerda’s most recent work, which shows just how sexy you can be as a plus woman, as well as how to harness that “inner fierceness.”

This was originally going to be a post about Betsey Johnson designer dresses, but in comparing the different dresses over at RevolveClothing.com while trying to decide which piece to feature, I noticed a big difference in the way the dresses were modeled.  So in addition to this being a post where I show you some great Betsey Johnson clothing, it’s also going to be a post where I bag on models and/or the people who dress them.
