Chloé fragrances releases their newest scent, Chloé Eau de Parfum Intense, next month, September, 2009. It takes the original Chloé Eau de Parfum fragrance one step further with the addition of oriental notes Pink Pepper, Sandalwood, and Tonka Bean. The fragrance was created by perfumers Michel Almairac and Amandine Marie (Robertet).
There’s nothing that I love more than a rich oriental and the new Chloé Intense did not disappoint me. I had 5 different lady friends smell it and one of the comments was very interesting to me. My friend, Leah, said that it reminded her of something from her childhood. …read more

Everything Justin Timberlake touches seems to turn to gold. He’s got a can’t-miss combination of talent, looks, and cool that help to keep him continually in the forefront of the entertainment industry. Now, he’s the face of Givenchy’s new male fragrance Play.
I got a sample of Play today. The bottle is reminiscent of a mp3 player. Cute. The fragrance is fruity, but not too sweet. It has a sandalwood quality to it, but that’s not one of the notes.
It smells clean, without smelling like soap. It’s made for men and I intended to give it to my boyfriend, but I …read more
Jessica Simpson’s Fancy Love

Fancy Love is the newest fragrance from Jessica Simpson. I’m not sure why it’s named “Fancy Love,” and not something new and unique, because other than the shape of the bottle, it doesn’t remind me of her previous scent, “Fancy,” at all.
Fancy smelled quite a bit like candy to me – it had like a toffee or caramel scent to it. My daughter, Bailey, who is 17, loves Fancy and uses it regularly. Fancy Love feels like a more mature scent. It has a romantic feel to it with a floral start and a warm sexy base. The scent was …read more
Fragrance News: Reese Witherspoon and AVON

Fragrance news…. I read at People.com that Reese Witherspoon is developing a fragrance with AVON. The scent, called In Bloom, won’t be available until November.
It’s a Floral with fragrance notes of Gardenia, Magnolia, and Jasmine. Reese wanted her fragrance to reflect both her past and her present. She grew up with a Magnolia tree in the backyard of her childhood home in Tennessee and the name, “In Bloom” is how she feels in her life right now.
“I’m feeling very strong and independent, and so happy, so full of life. The fragrance truly captures that feeling — it’s very sensual, very …read more

Product Review – Merlot Divine Eau de Parfum Spray

This week I had the opportunity to sample some products from Merlot USA.
I was very excited to try the Merlot Divine Eau de Parfum Spray. My oldest daughter was home when the mail arrived and we quickly spritzed ourselves. I liked it. It’s a fresh, light fragrance. I think it had an “earthy” quality to it.
I hope they decide to come out with a candle, because it would make a great home fragrance, as well. We all liked the bottle. It is tall, thin, and can be used later for a bud vase.
I had seven ladies try the fragrance. Five of them loved it, …read more
