More on the Oz Indie Fashion scene is the discovery of a cool indie site called Indie Art & Design, a weblog featuring products made by independent Australian artists, designers & craftspeople.
And while browsing the site, I spotted this adorable bag technology they call the wristlet. This Wattle Seed design is just one of the 12 made available exclusively in Indie Art & Design store!
Wristlets are the perfect size to hold all the important stuff like your wallet, keys, lippy and other girly essentials. You can hold champagne in one hand and daintily scoff horses doovers with the other. Or …read more
new blog: gleaming things
Chloe, one of my fantastic fellow bloggers here at b5, has started a new blog, Gleaming Things. I have a serious jewelry addiction, so you’ll probably find me there drooling.
The stuff she’s picked out so far is amazing.
Check out all the shinies at Gleaming Things.

friday randomness: and now….music
It’s not clothing, but it’s indie, so hopefully you’ll forgive me.
Thesixtyone is my new obsession. It bills itself as “the playlist of democracy.”
So here’s how it works. You join. You get points. You use the points to bump a song that you like. The better the song does, the more points you get back to bump more songs.
So join and be my friend. I’m angyl.
PS, if you are really good at picking stuff other people will like, you’ll win a single!
new blog: manscaping 101
We’ve got another man on board here at the Beauty and Style Channel. Tris Hussey, a fantastic blogger, is going to be writing about being a well-groomed man over at Manscaping 101 (we’ve already made all the jokes, don’t worry).
He’s already got some great articles going and it can only get better.
Send your man over to Manscaping 101.

What is this? It appears my favorite American Apparel is going to have a vintage store.

good idea: savvy circle
I’d been waiting until I could try this site out to post about it, but I thought it was worth posting, then later doing a review.
Savvy Circle is a nifty tool for bargain shoppers. I know we do indie style here, but not everything I own is indie and you just can’t escape the mainstream sometimes.
How it works
Savvy Circle, like many web services these days, is a plug-in. You’ll download a plug-in for our Firefox (which is the only real web browser to use anymore) and go shopping. There’s about a bajillion sites that have partnered with Savvy Circle, from …read more
almost jewelry week: countdown videos
Refinery29 is doing it again. It’s so close to Fashion week that we’re all itching, at least I am.
Check out the videos, right now it’s Shipley and Halmos.

blog welcome: the list maven
It seems like we’re adding more and more blogs every day here at b5. Today is the official launch of the List Maven, a blog by the fabulous Deb Ng that I’ve been looking forward to for a while.
The List Maven is — you guessed it — a blog of lists. Lists are one of my favorite things to read blog-wise, because they’re quick, simple and really useful.
Go check out the List Maven.
