New Gucci Sunglasses Designs for Winter

I was flipping through my most recent Nordstrom catalogue featuring new winter accessories when I spotted these amazing Gucci sunglasses. Fun colorful frames are great for summer, but classic and sophisticated sunglasses are perfect to pair with your wool coat and cashmere scarf in winter. Don’t forget that there are lots of sunny days in the winter that will require proper eye protection!

Gucci Oversized Sunglasses $220

Lilly Cole is modelling these amazing classic Gucci frames. The oversized square frames have the classic red and green Gucci stripe and logo along the temple. I love the vintage feel! These are very sophisticated and would look amazing with a classic cashmere coat.

Gucci Flora Oversized Square Sunglasses $295

For a little bit more of a statement, these sunglasses have a beautiful black and white floral print along the wide temple. These would look great with skinny jeans and a leather jacket.

Gucci Bamboo Logo Sunglasses $275

I’m usually not a fan of big logos, but these gold bamboo linked G logos are tastefully done. The oversized rectangular frames have thicker acetate along the outside of the temple which creates a connection to the Gucci logo. These are a very glamorous style that would look great with your faux fur coat!

I feel like a lucky lady because I just had the opportunity to view (and feel!!) the entire Donna Karan Collection “The Cashmere Collection” for pre-Spring 2010. You have not experienced luxury until you have wrapped yourself in Donna cashmere! The Cashmere Collection that has been released mid-Fall is a new collection for Donna Karan and it consists of beautiful cashmere separates that can be mixed and matched to create a complete outfit with layers of luxurious cashmere. Some of my favorite pieces from the collection are the accessories.

I’ve been noticing all of the colorful plastic and rubber watches that have been gaining popularity as an affordable fashion accessory lately and trying to decide which kind to get. The classic Timex 80 is an obvious option, but I have recently been intrigued by the bright colors and personalization of Toywatch watches.

This Toywatch Jelly Customizable Watch has a fun concept that takes me back to my childhood days. Little girls love changing their jewelry to match their outfit, and I remember that I had lots of accessories with similar customizable concepts when I was growing up. The Jelly Watch has six color options for the watch face case and the same six colors for the rubber strap. the colors are bright and fun, just like the rest of Toywatch watches. You can mix and match the face and the strap to create the specific color combo that you are looking for. I don’t think you would be switching out your watch face and your strap every morning so that your watch will match your outfit, but I do love the idea that you can create the exact watch combo that you want.

There is also a watch face option that is covered in lots of tiny crystals…it is definitely my favorite! And I think I would pair it with the orange Jelly watch strap.

Convertible Scarf Transforms Into a Vest

I think we can thank the recession for inspiring designers to create versatile pieces that have more than one function. I am absolutely loving all of the “transformer” styles that have been popping up everywhere lately. Every category of clothing is coming up with a design that is “this slash that” so we can buy one piece and use it in a multitude of ways. Some popular takes on this idea that I have seen are a wrap dress becomes a halter dress or a bandeau dress and a scarf that becomes a hood.

I posted two weeks ago about the snood as the absolute must-have accessory Fall, and since then I have been obsessed with finding similar items that have dual functions. I just found this fabulous convertible scarf and vest piece with buttons on both sides and wide pockets along the bottom edge to create amazing versatility. The Tarnish Convertible Scarf Vest is made of a super soft ribbed alpaca that can be completely opened up to be worn as a wide scarf. I love scarves with pockets…so practical for keeping your hands warm!

Not only can this piece be worn as a scarf and a vest, but you can also experiment to find other options that involve wrapping and buttoning to create interesting looks.

Can you even believe that these are all the same piece of clothing? So genius! It’s so amazing that it can be worn in so many different ways.

Reading glasses are becoming a piece of fashion that makes women have a smart, sexy, and sophisticated look! It seems that nearly all adults over the age of 20 have to wear readers these days, so you might as well buy a more pricey pair that looks great.

I have to wear readers all day to avoid a headache from working on a computer, so it’s important that I find a pair that are cute and don’t make me look like a granny. I have a few favorite readers designers, and one of them is Kate Spade. You can find a large collection of Kate Spade readers in lots of fun and flattering plastic frames at Nordstrom. I am always trying them on!

Kate Spade Kitty Reading Glasses $68

One of the reasons why I prefer Kate Spade reading glasses over other brands is because they sit up on the nose like regular glasses instead of like half glasses (granny glasses!). This is a more flattering and modern look for readers and allows you to read a computer screen more easily. These Kitty readers are extremely flattering and come in a variety of different colors.

I love the popular style of glasses frames with a pairing of two different colors on the exterior and interior of the frame. These reading glasses have a lovely dark blue exterior with a baby blue interior.

Fun Floral Appliqués by Versace

I usually tend to shy away from any bag with appliqué details as they tend to veer towards the ostentatious and gaudy side of the vast handbag spectrum of style. However, these Versace handbags are well worth a closer look.
