The Old Spice of today is very different from the Old Spice my Grandpa used. With a quirky-cool new ad campaign and a new product line with scents like Swagger and After Hours. My teenage son has used the Swagger line – the body wash, body spray, and deodorant. The products smell good and work effectively, which is an important selling point where a teenage boy is concerned. Hey, sometimes teens are stinky, this makes them not stinky, good-smelling even.

Old Spice and AOL Black Voices teamed up to survey impressions of Personal Style. They asked 4000 people questions about style and attraction. Some interesting points from the survey include:
*Wear what you want, but being confident and comfortable is what really impresses 2/3 of the respondents.
*Yes, this one is a no-brainer – 9 out of 10 people want someone who practices good grooming.
*The second biggest turn-off for women surveyed was underarm odor and messy white residue. They especially find the chunks and pieces disgusting.

Have you had the opportunity to catch any of the new Old Spice ads? Old Spice is no longer my dad’s after shave. Young, brash, not what you’d call subtle, Old Spice is now focused on a younger male audience. With quirky new ads, bold red packaging, and an array of fresh, zesty scents, Old Spice has effectively re-launched itself as the go-to guy in the men’s grooming market.
