Vo2 Skincare Creme Da Vovo Discount

Brazilian skin care line Vo2 Skincare is offering a special discount on their fabulous Creme da Vovó to help Splendicity readers treat their dry winter skin.  Winter weather brings low temperatures and dry air from indoor heating, which can wreak havoc on skin that has been healthy and glowing all summer.  Vo2 Skincare offers their  Creme da Vovó as a solution to the problem of sensitive and irritated winter skin.

The phrase “creme da vovó” actually means “grandmother’s cream” in Brazilian culture.  Katia Ribeiro chose this name for her “heaven in a bottle” because of the traditional recipe for the cream …read more

We Go Bohemian at John Patrick Organic

Despite what many may think, the Fashion Week mayhem does not limit itself to the overcrowded tents of Bryant Park – excitement, style, and fashion are brewing all over the place this week.
Keen’s Steakhouse hosted the John Patrick Organic show one that reflected a fun bohemian style both in the designs – and in the hair design.
“I wanted to dig deep below the surface of Bohemian style and create a free-spirited look that’s chic, pretty, and fresh,” says designer John Patrick.
The hair for this show was styled by Odile Gilbert for Aveda. “I call this chic-bohemian look ‘the wave,” …read more

Giveaway: A Year of All-Natural Hair Dye

We all know – or are – that person who every few weeks goes to the local drugstore chain to buy a box of hair dye.
Did you ever stop to think for a second what sort of gunk is in that box? You may not want to know, and probably assume the results are worth the risk.
