Some days I feel lazy, a jersey knit skirt, a t-shirt and flats and I’m ready to go. Other days I feel the need to get super dressed up and just be pretty, even if that means over dressing. Some days, my friends will ask me, “do you have a hot date later tonight that I don’t know about?” There is no hot date (sad face…) but I look hot! And looking good is always a good thing!

This Oscar de la Renta Sequin-Sprayed-On Dress makes me feel like getting dressed up for that non-existent hot date that my friends are asking me about. The dress is multi-colored with short sleeves made of 100% silk with paillette detailing. The dress is $4,790 from Net-A-Porter.

Festive Oscar De La Renta Taffeta Dress

If there was ever a time to visit the city of San Antonio, it would be right now. Everyone needs to visit because I will, in my dreams, be walking around the city in this Embroidered Taffeta Oscar De La Renta Dress...everywhere.

However, to be serious…San Antonio is in the middle of an elaborate celebration called “Fiesta.” It’s an excuse to go to lots of parties, over pay for drinks, and of course get dressed up in bright Spring colors.

So, this Oscar De La Renta Taffeta Dress fits the bill. It is a blue and white dress with floral taffeta embroidery throughout that would drive any fellow party goer wild. I am particularly partial to the flouncy skirt.

Shanna Moakler Wears Oscar De La Renta

Bravo’s second annual A-List Awards were filmed this past weekend and of course, an event would not be an event without Paris Hilton, the Kardashians, or Chelsea Handler. Everyone looked beautiful and you can see the results of the ceremonies at Bravo on Tuesday April 15, 2009.

Talk about a plug, huh? Anyway. I was shocked to see one of my favorite people in the whole wide world, Shanna Moakler, wearing a dress I mentioned way back in January. Shanna Moakler, of Dancing With The Stars, Playboy, and Travis Barker fame, strolled down the Red Carpet wearing Oscar De La Renta’s Black Silk Faille Shibori Dress.

Now, like all my posts, take everything with a grain of sugar (that’s bigger then salt, but not too serious), unless I saw for certain that it’s the truth. This could very well not be Oscar de la Renta. But, take a look at Shanna’s dress and compare it to the one I found at Sak’s Fifth Avenue for $2,990.

Kate Hudson Wearing Oscar De La Renta at the Bride Wars Premiere

Kate Hudson has looked just amazing the past few days through her media blitz while promoting the new movie Bride Wars. I’ve loved her co-star Anne Hathaway since she was in The Princess Diaries. Kate looked stunning last night on David Letterman and looked even better at the premiere for the movie itself while wearing a sparkling two piece black and white geometric mermaid shaped Oscar De La Renta gown.

Come a few days from now I’m sure there will be a few knock-off dresses just like this gown, but if you want to keep it all in the Oscar De La Renta family, might I suggest this Black Silk Faille Shibori Dress. It has the same black and white feel of Hudson’s dress, but in a cocktail style. It has a pleated waist and lands about 23 inches from the natural waist. You’ll have to pre-order this beauty though. It is priced at $2,990.
