Well, Splendicity readers, I left you as a Miss, but I return to you as a Mrs. Which means that I have more than a few tips and whatnot to share from my big day. The first being an item that does triple duty as a party favor, sun shield, and fashion accessory.

Another option for those of us of a fairer complexion is to carry a parasol or umbrella if you’re going to be outside. It’s a old-fashioned tradition that still works today. I managed to snag a hand-painted parasol from China that I adore. I wasn’t able to find one online, but I did find a great umbrella from Burberry that would do the trick:
