I’ve got wide feet, and even wider toes – not a happy combination for a shoe like the admittedly elegant “Markita 2” by Type Z:

 I think this is one trend I’m going to have to pass on for myself…

I’ve written about my love of unique patent leather accessories before (Prada sfumato anyone?) and I know I wrote about Donna Karan’s “xenon oxide” pumps before… But I had to add Calvin Klein’s new “Saphire” asymetrical strap high heels in rainbow prism to my list of lusted-after shoes:

Let pretend, just for a few minutes – that it’s not minus a gazbillion degrees outside.  That there isn’t a foot of snow in my front yard.  Or that a brief run to the grocery store requires 15 layers.
So in my happy little imaginary summer, I can wear these:
