White Stem Flower Earrings by Kathi Roussel

I love pearls. I know I’ve said that before, but I really mean it. They go with everything, especially weddings. There’s nothing more iconic than the single strand of pearls to go with your wedding gown.
But let’s not be so restrictive about our jewelry choices. Why don’t we move forward from the single strand of pearls and simple pear studs into something more fanciful?
These long stemmed pearl flower earrings are a good start. The flower lays close to the lobe, like a stud, while the stem dangles behind. This is a great choice of jewelry for a bride looking for …read more

Okay, so I’m still looking for wedding jewelry – but you can wear pearls with lots of different outfits too!

I just recently stumbled across the work of James Murray and was really impressed! His website is being redesigned, but this is one of the pieces available.
It’s called “Bubbles” and is made from glass pearls & gunmetal. Bold, but so pretty!

These 14kt gold, pearl & crystal earrings are by Mashka.

Or these lovely champagne pearls by Nancy Cohen.

My brain is still in “wedding mode” (of course, I think it will be for the rest of the summer!) and so when I saw this lovely necklace from Nancy Cohen:

I thought “Aha! Perfect for bridal jewelery!”

For the Elegant Bride

Sometimes nothing but a strand of pearls will do for even the trendiest of brides. You have to admit… pearls this gorgeous never go out of style!

According to Arab legend; Pearls come to being from dewdrops which fall from heaven on the night of the full moon. The oysters then carry away into the depths of the sea, a little of that marvelous light from the star that marks out our time – and the pearl is born.
