When my mother was married, my grandmother (her mother in-law to be) loaned her a porcelain flower brooch to wear in her hair. Now that I’m engaged, I wanted to wear the same pin that my mother did, and my grandmother before her.There was one small problem.

My Nana couldn’t find the pin. She looked all over her house. My aunt looked all over her house. My parents even looked all over Nana’s house.

And no pin.

“Oh well” I thought, I’m sure I can find more. So I started building up my own collection of porcelain flowers to wear.

And then, Nana found the pin! So I now have enough flowers to wear in my hair, as well as share with my bridesmaids.

It’s a little unusual to wear brooches in your hair, but I love the way they look – just be careful & don’t poke yourself!

Do you believe in good luck charms?? I’m not sure how I feel, but I keep seeing Dragonflys… everywhere and just today I saw this brooch. Well, I’m not even sure that I own a brooch or where I would use this one, but it made me go searching for a way to use it. Here’s what it looks like…
