SWAK Designs Jeans

Obsession alert! I found the exact style I need to buy. I just picked up a vintage dress over at eBay– amazing!!– and I need to grab the pair of mega dark stretch jeans to wear underneath. SWAK Designs is the perfect match for my brand new tunic dress. They’re available in sizes from 1X to 3X, too.
Curious about my new tunic dress? Here it is:

The all-over beaded designs are just gorgeous, and while I will need to take it to the tailor, it’s devastatingly gorgeous. I’m going to wear it with my black suede boots from Evans London.

I’m Thinking Spring

Evans London has a spring preview going on that’s getting me into dressing warmer. . . even though that might not be as easy as I’d like it to be– it’s still freezing here. But that doesn’t mean I can’t dream!

I chose this Black Belted Shift Jumpershirt because of its longer length and that gorgeous tie at the neck.

In my quest for awesome jeans, I happened upon these Mid Wash Bootcut Jeans with a great shape and a wash that really complements a bulk of your closet.

And this one? I love the Purple Cardi Cape Cardi because of its happy …read more

Was Old Navy Fair?

Was Old Navy Fair?

I was over at Old Navy today, which invariably gets me thinking about their switch to plus-size fashion as an “online exclusive.” While I adore Old Navy’s affordable looks (like this awesome Smocked Knit Dress above), I’m still disappointed that I can’t try things on in the shops themselves.
Let me know if you feel the same, below.

If you’ve got the attitude and you’re willing to experiment, this Mod Jumper might do the trick. I’ve never seen anything like this for a plus woman, and it’s an exciting departure from the usual. And it’s even offered in music-to my-ears sizing: made to order Zing! Get over to Miss Brache’s shop and start buying.

New Find at Alight

Forget the black-and-white dots and move on to something warmer and fresher! This Denver Dot Top was a great find at Alight, and even better when you pair it with a pair of DUO Boots (on sale now)– like the Paris Boots, here.
Buy this one for $32.

What’s a Plus-Size Essential?

I got to thinking about what makes some plus-size woman look so great. Do you think they have a secret? Is it the whole “package” and impeccable grooming?
When it really comes down to it, my theory about other well-turned out plus women is that they make use of the very best foundation garments to smooth. Whether you’re a size 22 or a 32, if you have a smooth physique, you’ll look inifinitely better. Case in point: the gorgeous models over at Les Modeuses Rondes.
So tell me: what do you consider a plus-size essential when it comes to looking good?

What I Want from Torrid Right Now

Another festive piece as we get ready to ring in the New Year! I know that many full figured women out there feel pretty apprehensive about slipping into glitter and sparkles, but trust me– this top will work. All it needs is something basic on the bottom, from thistight cigarette pants to a simple skirt. Or. . . my favorite standby–deep dark denim and boots.
That’s why I have my eye on the Gold Scoop Neck Sweater from Torrid.

Ultra-Sexy Party Dress

Okay, I probably wouldn’t wear a belt quite like this, but I looove the fit of the skirt and the ruched side seams. Plus, the sleeves have a totally full, flowing appeal that I have imagine working well on all figures. Oh, and did I mention that it has Lurex, too?
Check out this dress from Size Appeal, $42.
