Let’s Play a Game: Ugly or Cute?

I’m currently planning a little performance review over at Burning the Scale, where I would like to wear some pieces from a major plus action label and see how they work out. Each time I buy a pair of exercise pants, I feel like I’m gambling: will they ride up? Will they fall down? Ug. If you have a favorite brand, let me know below! I’d love some suggestions.

Do You Have a Favorite Plus Athletic Brand?

I’ve been tagged by Tangled Thread, so I thought that you’d like to know seven little-known facts about me, and then I’ll be passing my tagging on to seven other unsuspecting people! (By the way, these facts are not known about me in the blogosphere, but may be known about me in “real life.”)

Here goes nothing:

1. I have a dog named Crumbles. She’s a terrier-poodle mix and I adore her! She’s the naughtiest thing you’ll ever see, though, and ignores everyone except me.

2. I just had eye surgery, and today is a “bad day” in terms of vision.

3. I love Chick Lit, and bought myself seven of the best ones out there for Christmas with a gift card.

4. I hate to drive, although I usually do every day. I drive like a granny on the highway, white-knuckled and all.

5. I’m a New England enthusiast, and I grew up in Vermont.

6. My ferret’s real name is Troubles, although I have renamed her Squirrel and I always call her “him.”

7. I think it’s weird when people say “you too” to everything as they’re leaving. “Have a great vacation!” “You too!” What?

I’ve Been Tagged!

Loyal reader Diane has asked us a question, and I thought it would be great for all of us to chip in and help out. Diane asks:

I’ve been on a mission a for several months now to find the “Perfect” pair of jeans. To me that means they are comfortable, fit good, look good and should make you feel good. Well, I’ve tried on Dickie’s, Levi,s 515 & 545, Paris Blues, Old Navy – the Flirt, the sweetheart, Style & Co, Lane Bryant – right fit wasn’t right for me..lol So far, I like these two pairs of jeans but I know my “Holy Grails” are out there waiting for me. (Old Navy – The Diva & Avenue’s – Denim Lite) I did go to Zafu.com and followed one of the other recommendations. I ordered a pair of jeans from LLbean. Have you found your perfect pair of jeans? If so, what are they?

Can You Help One Friendly Plus Reader?

I was over at Old Navy today, which invariably gets me thinking about their switch to plus-size fashion as an “online exclusive.” While I adore Old Navy’s affordable looks (like this awesome Smocked Knit Dress above), I’m still disappointed that I can’t try things on in the shops themselves.
