If the ladies’ Olsenboye designs aren’t quite your style, you may want to stick with some of their more hippie bohemian Elizabeth and James looks that you may be able to get on sale at the Neiman Marcus First Call Sale. Exciting! I actually have a soft spot for these Ruched Button Pumps that are currently $218 dollars (marked down from their original $325). They are black leather, and we all know every girl needs a pair of classic black pumps for the everyday world. They have a pointed toe with some funky buttons that look almost like they belong on a blouse along the 4 inch heel of shoe.

California Magdesians is a shoe company, based in Los Angeles.  They’ve been creating quality shoes for almost 60 years – all them in the USA.  I think they would make a great choice for Michelle Obama – after all, what’s better than supporting craftspeople in her own country?

I wouldn’t recommend sinking a lot of money into a really trendy shoe or purse, but why not save some $$$ on classic colors or shapes that you’ll be able to use for years?  This is not the time to buy wacky colors or trendy finishes – but accessories like these “Narcissa” pumps from Boutique 9:
