Rihanna & The All In One Earring & Necklace

I seem to recall these earring-slash-necklaces had a brief trendy period in the eighties…
They always seemed to be an unusually risky piece of jewelry to wear – what happens if you get your necklace caught in a button?  I prefer my earlobes intact, thank you very much.
