Holy Gold Monster, look at that outfit! This isn’t a bad look on her at all. Rihanna is always able to rock these types of looks. And look at those shoes. These shoes are Christian Louboutin (red soles straight to my heart) and I haven’t been able to pin down where exactly we can pick them up, but they sure look like a combination of the Christian Louboutin for Rodarte Spiked heels (from early 2008) and these Gold Robot 120 Ankle Boots that you can pick up at Net-A-Porter for $1,295. So, if you’re a Rihanna fan, hurry to Net-A-Porter and get some strappy ankle boots to channel this R Rated look!

Channel Rihanna’s R Rated Look

It’s almost Halloween, and in this economy, we aren’t all prepared to blow loads of cash on pricey wigs and hair pieces to complete our costume.

But what if we could do it ourselves, at home? I consulted celebrity hair expert Moulay Yacoubi, who shared some great news: Hot Halloween looks can be recreated with your own hair, at home, easy and cheaply! Here’s some of Moulay’s tips!

For short hair – try the Rihanna look:

1. Use damp unwashed hair, treated with a light mousse.

2. Pull hair from the middle of the head foreword, so it lies across the forehead like bangs.

3. Divide this section of hair into small sections.

4. Straighten each section with a small flat iron.

5. Once each section is flattened, use pomade or hair wax to hold the sections in place across the forehead.

6. Smooth the back and sides of the hair down with the pomade or wax, so it is neat, smooth and close to the head and falls toward the nape of the neck.

7. Finish with a light hairspray.

For medium hair – by Katy Perry!

1. Prep hair with shampoo and conditioner.

2. Separate damp hair into a side par.

3. Set with large hot rollers for 30 minutes.

4. Remove the rollers and let the hair cool for 5 minutes.

5. Brush the hair into large, bouncy waves.

6. Separate bangs or the front of the hair and push it toward the side. If you don’t have bangs, hold the hair in place with a fun barrette, so it sweeps across the face.

7. Use a light shine serum to hold the bangs in place.

8. Set the style with a light hairspray.

For long hair – You are Lady Gaga!

1. Prep hair with shampoo and conditioner.

2. Use a comb to create an even middle part in damp hair. Use light hairspray to “hold” the part in place.

3. Separate out bangs or the front portion of the hair.

4. Blowdry hair straight with a large flat brush.

5. If you have bangs, use a flat iron on the entire section to create an even, blunt look that hits the brow.

6. If you don’t have bangs, use bobby pins to pin the hair in place so it hits the brow. Use a flat iron on this section. Cover the excess hair and bobby pins with a funky headband.

7. Use a shine serum to smooth down flyaways and hold the bangs in place.
