Marquise-Cut Geode Ring by Retsina

This ring is amazing on so many levels. First of all, it’s this crazy beautiful geode that the earth just naturally formed, all by itself. And second, the artist cut it into this amazing marquise shape that shows off all its sparkly little nooks and crannies.

The steel grey stone with its almost silver druzies looks amazing set on sterling. The size is perfect: eye-catching, but it lays flat against the finger for comfort. Available for $110 from Retsina.

Weekend Etsy Picks

My Etsy pick for the weekend is a jewelry designer who makes very unique jewelry.
How unique?
As unique as your fingerprint!
In fact, Fabuluster uses your own fingerprint to create one-of-a-kind fine jewelry that no one else will have.
Brent & Jessica Williams of Fabuluster create their elegant jewelry using sterling silver and gold.  As well as their custom fingerprint rings, they also use natural materials like feathers and leaves in their jewelry.
Here’s one of their custom fingerprint wedding bands:

The fingerprint is imprinted on the outside of the sterling silver ring, with a polished interior.
You can also keep the fingerprints a secret and …read more

Own a Little Part of the Guggenheim

Are you a fan of the Guggenheim Museum?
Then you’re definitely going to want to check out this unique jewelry!
During the 2007 restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s modern masterpiece—the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, pieces of the museum were saved.  The Gunite or concrete crumbles have been set into resin and made into jewelry.  Jewelry designer Cara Tilker has designed the unique suite of jewelry, for both women and men.
Each piece of jewelry contains an original piece of the museum, finished with sterling silver to make a modern and very wearable piece of jewelry.  The resin must be poured by hand into …read more

Dress Up The Holidays With Jewelry

I can hear you now – “the kids have only just gone back to school, you want to talk about the holidays??”.
Let me explain…
How often do we get all wrapped up in preparations and end up not having enough time for ourselves?
Every year?
So why not get your holiday outfit and jewelry pulled together sooner, rather than later?
It’s one less thing to do on the night of the big office party, gala event or cocktail reception!
Glamor on a budget – you want to look like a million bucks, but let’s face it – you don’t have a million to spend on …read more
