Sam Trout is a friend of Ruffeo Hearts Lil Snotty, one of my recent obsessions. His work is pretty, simple and complex. He’s mainly working on printed t-shirts, with artsy details and sometimes decorative stitching.

My favorite pieces are the all-over prints. I can be pretty picky about prints, but Sam’s are light, delicate, but really complex. There are layers of prints over others and way more cool than anything you’re going to get at Forever 21. Most prints come in different colors.

Sam also makes menswear in the shape of tees, polos and sweatshirts.

I really like this pinstripe shirt, which would look good under a blazer with some jeans. It’s a step up from those t-shirt tuxedos.

Oh, and I forgot the coolest part about Sam’s work — he draws most of the artwork himself.
