Feminine Flats from the Resort Collections

How about a breath of tropical air with the bold, bright colors and fun feminine shoes from the latest resort collections?  Designers have gone for over-the-top colors like hot pink, ocean teal and lush orange to match the strappy sandals, fun ruffles and girly details.

Bright High Heels from Resort Collections

• Soak – Prepare a nice hot bath that will cover your feet and ankles.  Make the temperature pretty hot so that it will stay toasty while you sit and soak.  Sometimes I drop a couple drops of peppermint oil or bubble bath in the water just to add a little aromatherapy to the experience.  Soak for about ten minutes.

• Scrub – Use a gritty body scrub (exfoliant, body polish, etc.) and a sponge to exfoliate your feet.  Give them a pretty intense scrubbing to remove dead skin cells.  You can also use a pumice stone or buffing pad to scrub calluses and extremely rough skin patches.  After you’re done scrubbing let the exfoliant sit on your feet for about one minute and then rub off with a warm washcloth.

• Moisturize – Massage moisturizing lotion all over your feet, include around each individual toe and in the arch.  Spend extra time moisturizing the callused areas and use more lotion than you think your skin will be able to absorb.

• Relax – Put your feet up for at least 15 minutes to let the moisturizer soak in completely.  Put on a pair of softening socks, foot warmers, or cozy slippers.

It seems that so often stylists go for the boldest, heavily accented shoes to dress their celebrity clients in that it’s refreshing to see a simpler, more elegant shoe make an appearance.

Simply Stunning Strappy Sandals

The Stella McCartney Cloud Print Sandals and Cloud Print Wedges are the epitome of casual, carefree days of fun.  She’ll be able to wear these with shorts and flirty dresses.  They’re designed with the signature Sir Peter Blake cloud print canvas fabric, which are adorable but not overtly childish either. Christian Louboutin Ankle Strap Heels

Clean lines, a moderate heel and wearable cut make the “Valore 9“  slide from Donald J Pliner just that shoe.  It comes in a bunch of different colors, including some great snakeskin options.  I quite like the metallic colors through.  They add a little extra pizazz without overwhelming the rest of your outfit.

Metallic Slides with Style

However, ten years is just too long to wear flip-flops and it’s about time to upgrade! That’s why, this year, I have finally invested in t-bar sandals. I have black ones and browns now, but after seeing these Tibi Twiggy T–bar sandals, I may have a pair of pink ones calling my closet home soon.

They’d be a great accent shoe for an otherwise simple outfit. Let the shoes do the talking and the walking!  They’re made of pony hair and feature an x-band open toe platform with leather piping and adjustable halter sling back.  They’re truly fun and fashion forward.
