Silks, Sequins, and Vintage Fashion

I’ve always been inspired by vintage fashion. Though, my personal style leans more towards the contemporary and mod, I’m slowly incorporating certain pieces that will allow me to branch out into a look that more close to vintage.
I’ve always loved silks and I find sequins fascinating so wouldn’t this top be an interesting addition to create a Vintage look?
Amazing vintage top covered in sequins. 100% Silk. White with sequins in shades of white, blue and light green. Zips up the back. Perfect for an evening out.
Era is around mid to late 1970s.

etsy: sequin dress

We’re comin’ up on prom season, so I’ll try to post a few more fancy dresses. When I was in high school (honestly not that long ago) prom dresses were always, always floor length. It was edgy if you had a knee-length dress.
Now, you cna wear pretty much whatever. I love the way vintage dresses look and the idea of wearing something old in a new way. This sequin dress is mod and sexy. I’d add a belt and some big earrings. ($39)

sale alert: laura dahl/wifebeader at joia

The kind folks over at Joia were nice enough to let me know that Laura Dahl/Wifebeader is on sale at their site. I particularly like this cute layering sequin halter tank. ($67)
