Bling is Out for Sunglasses This Summer

I am happy to see that sunglasses styles have moved away from the overly flashy and over-the-top “bling” designs to more of a vintage and minimalistic look for this summer. Here are some trends that I think will be “out” this summer:
wrapping or shield sunglasses – Styles with a one-piece lens and super wide sides are good for sun protection, but not so good on style. I think Paris Hilton wore these a lot back when The Simple Life was still being filmed and Nicole Richie wasn’t skinny.

Rimless Shield Sunglasses By Burberry

If you’re a fan of shield sunglasses, you’ll probably appreciate the simplicity of these rimless shield sunglasses by Burberry. This design has a really nice mix of colors with the dark brown frame and lenses with the decorative gold hinges. It’s a very classy look.
These shades remind me of something Bono from U2 would wear. They’ve got that nice sophistication to them yet they still bring forth some edge and some intensity. Also, if you haven’t noticed, one other bonus to these is that they look hot on men and women.
