Some days it’s nice to wear a clean, elegant shoe that makes you feel sleek and stylish.
Clean lines, a moderate heel and wearable cut make the “Valore 9“  slide from Donald J Pliner just that shoe.  It comes in a bunch of different colors, including some great snakeskin options.  I quite like the metallic colors through.  They add a little extra pizazz without overwhelming the rest of your outfit.

Did you know that cork is actually the bark of a tree?  How many kinds of tree bark do you know make great accessories?
Cork is showing up a lot more in accessories these days.  Kate Spade has used it to make clutch purses and lots of shoe designers have been using it as a heel material.
J. Renee has gone a step further and has used soft & flexible cork to create the uppers of the “Venus” slide:

The shoe is finished off with a fine metallic leather trim on the edges of the cork, as well as the heel.

I’m not entirely sure what to think about the “Ultimate” shoe by Onex:

That toe “anchor” looks pretty cool, but I can’t help but think that it doesn’t look like it would hold your toes in all that well.
They advertise that the wide instep strap will keep your foot secure – but can you image your toes popping out from the toe separator… and then stepping back down on it.
Yowee!
Am I being paranoid?  Is this really the next best shoe idea to come along?

I have to admit that I get completely and totally giddy when the spring shoe collection hits the stores.  I don’t care that there is a foot of snow on the ground when I can admire these lovelies:
