Chocolate Dream Gift Soaps From Sabon

Have you had the opportunity to try any Sabon skin care of bath products?  I use their Organic Serum all the time.  It’s made with ingredients like Macadamia Nut Oil. Really nice stuff.  All the Sabon products are made of good quality ingredients and they come in the cutest containers – like apothecary jars and bottles.
I was looking at some of the items in their online gift shop section and they have a line of fancy soaps for men and women.  The Chocolate Dream soaps are wrapped  and would look great as part of a gift basket of bath products.

Skin-Smoothing Treats From L’Occitane

I’m a big fan of L’Occitane’s Verbena scent. It’s now available as part of a collection of Shea bath and body products that is only available at Sephora.  The All Shea All Day set is priced at $24.
Shea butter is known for it’s deep moisturizing benefits. Other skin-soothing ingredients include Vegetal Wheat Proteins, Apricot Oil, Honey, Sweet Almond Extract, Glycerin, Marshmallow, Lavender Essential Oil, and both Almond and Soy Milk. The limited edition set contains small sizes of shea verbena shower cream, shea body lotion, shea hand cream, shea foot cream, and a shea milk soap.

Give a Fig

Give a Fig

Lush homemade soaps may look like huge chunks of birthday cake or luminescent space rocks, but they are also super-exfoliating, hydrating, fragrant and – yes, I’ll say it – far more fun to display in your soap dish than your average bar of soap.
A few years ago, I was won over by their earthy Figs and Leaves Soap , with its distinct trace of orange and flowers, but have since smartened up and now covet close to every variety of soap.
Lush’s soap line is chock-full of amazing, therapeutic ingredients such as black pepper, fennel, fig seeds and Kaffir lime …read more

Skin Care Soaps

With all the various gels, creams, lotions and balms available to us we might forget the existence of soap – bars of soap that is.  Just like with the creams, lotions and such, there are soaps formulated to treat a number of skincare issues.
This Grape-Seed Antioxidant Soap Set by 29, works to cleanse and treat your skin.  The set includes a exfoliating green soap bar with rosemary, thyme and crushed grape seeds which works to give your skin a healthy glow. The white soap bar soothes and protects your skin with soy milk, oats and grape seed extract.

Cute Piggy Soap From Bath & Body

I found this at Bath & Body Works today. A Natural Glycerin Soap with a litty piggy in it. How cute is that? It’s available exclusively online.

The natural glycerin  soap is mild. This would be the perfect soap for a child who has to be coaxed into the tub. Kids can be so funny that way, you have to pratically force them to get in and then they never want to get back out.

Other cute tub animals in soap include a baseball/softball duck, a graduation duck, and a soccer duck. This holiday weekend, Bath & Body …read more

Need a moment of zen?

I tell you, my life is pretty busy right now. What with work, school, getting ready for the Spring Bada Bing, my schedule is booked. To say nothing of the things I ought to be doing – like taking our dog for lots of walks, getting to the gym, and fixing up our house! I need some zen! This lovely Lemon Zen soap by Kallia’s Soap Studio on etsy looks like just the ticket. I’m not exactly sure how much you get for $5.00, but for handmade soap it seems to be a fair …read more

Just Soap – Bicycle-powered soap?!

I’ve come across this site more than once but I wanted to share with you the quirky goodness that is Just Soap. Homemade Cold-Procesed (CP) soap is very popular right now, because it is less drying than commercial soap and can be made using lots of nice ingredients like essential oils, grains, and etc. JustSoap stands out because instead of being mixed by hand, the oils/lye mixture is mixed…by bicycle. Tiny producers usually just pour their mixture into a safe bowl and mix by hand, whereas commercial producers have mixers powered by electricity, generally coming from …read more
