Juicy Couture is one of my faves. I love picking up their bags, jewelry and clothes that are just a little bit over the top. This Daydreamer Terry Tote is a perfect balance between over the top and classic fashion that every fashionista needs in their closet.

This tote comes in two colors, a Windowseat blue and a Martinque pink. I personally adore the deep pink that’s almost a purple color. I love the Martinque bag because the bow off to the side actually looks like it belongs on the bag. The Windowseat bag looks like the bow was tied on by a twelve year old. What do you think?

The tote itself is has two shoulder straps and has the signature crown embroidery on the top. I am in love with the hearts and beads that adorn the actual body of the bag. The tote measures 12½”wide by 11½”high by 6¼” deep. It is $198 from Sak’s Fifth Avenue.

I love getting e-mails from websites and stores about sales and new items. Yesterday, I got one from IKEA about some sale in Round Rock. Today, I received one from Net-A-Porter about all their new bags, including this Marc by Marc Jacobs Suede Linda Clutch.

I mentioned not too long ago that clutches are good for everyday and every night use in my Tory Burch Printed Canvas Clutch post. Well, this clutch is no exception either. On the contrary, this one is on my Birthday Wish List (May 24th!).

This clutch has an almost safarri khaki feel to it with a kick of Spring color. It measures 13″ wide by 7″ high by 2″ deep and is $270. I adore the muted coral and purple tones. The flower interior is awesome as well. I’d wear it with jeans and some bronze heels at the office, but would also carry it when I go out on the town (which is once in a blue moon). So, who is buying this for me?

When my mother was married, my grandmother (her mother in-law to be) loaned her a porcelain flower brooch to wear in her hair. Now that I’m engaged, I wanted to wear the same pin that my mother did, and my grandmother before her.There was one small problem.

My Nana couldn’t find the pin. She looked all over her house. My aunt looked all over her house. My parents even looked all over Nana’s house.

And no pin.

“Oh well” I thought, I’m sure I can find more. So I started building up my own collection of porcelain flowers to wear.

And then, Nana found the pin! So I now have enough flowers to wear in my hair, as well as share with my bridesmaids.

It’s a little unusual to wear brooches in your hair, but I love the way they look – just be careful & don’t poke yourself!

I’ll post more about the vintage porcelain pins tomorrow… but I’ve found a gorgeous collection of jewlery from Christian Dior that has a lot of the same charm and feminity as the porcelain flowers.

I adore the flowers & butterflies! This collection uses white & yellow gold, enamel & semi-precious gemstones… I’d definitely wear them

I love the look of a simple strand of bold, glass beads. It’s a style that can be dressed up (fabulous with a little black dress) or tossed on with a pair of jeans and your favorite t-shirt.
I’ve been playing around with this style in my studio and have come up with a few necklaces that I’m tickled pink with. I’m using pre-loved glass beads, not perfect – but full of character!

I think this is my favorite colour combination – it’s so fresh & summery!

I think this one almost looks like chunks of amber or coral -

wouldn’t it be great with the perfect pair of red boots?

How to Accessorize the Sweater

Last week I featured this sweater… But today I want you to notice how the designers accessorized it! They didn’t use a fine chain, they went with a chunky string of beads that really plays up the neckline. A fine chain, as pretty as it might be, would have been lost!
