I was browsing the web today looking for fun accessories to create an outfit with and was simply captivated by the new selection of necklaces at Anthropologie. If you were doubtful before of how amazing the jewelry selection is on the website or in stores, maybe these beauties will convince you!

Jeweled Stream Necklace ($158) A pretty cluster of flowers in a beautiful color combination.

My personal favourites have to be the first and second necklaces. I love the combination of lavender with the blue on the Jeweled Stream necklace. And then the combination of pale yellow and yellow-green on the Scattered Seeds necklace is just brilliant.

Statement necklaces are everywhere these days and they also make wonderful gift ideas for the fashionista in your family. Bergdorf Goodman has a terrific assortment of them.

Oscar de la Renta in particular had a number of gorgeous pieces to choose from and I thought I’d showcase them here today.

Leave it to Oscar de la Renta to create these eye catching jewels! These necklaces are worthy for any fashionista and celebrity to wear.

Why do these necklaces work? They’re neutrals. The warm tones of browns, bronzes and black will accentuate outfits but they’ll also blend in beautifully. When wearing statement necklaces it’s best to keep your overall ensemble simple and streamlined. These would be great to wear with a suit for work or even a strapless dress for evenings.

I have been on the hunt for affordable collar and statement necklaces since the summer! Big flashy necklaces are such a great way to add excitement to an LBD or a casual T-shirt, skinny jeans, and flats combo. The right necklace can instantly upgrade your outfit from boring to stylish.

I just found some fabulous necklaces at French Connection that are completely affordable! Big collar necklaces might not be in style forever, so it’s probably one of the items that I’m not going to splurge on this year.

French Connection Beaded Collar Necklace $58

This is exactly what I have been looking for! This is a great collar necklace with a bold art deco design created from tiny beading and a ribbon tie fastener. I love the mixture of cylinder and round beads and the incorporation of sequins and tiny blue stitching. Style this with a simple outfit of neutral tones and you will look fabulous!

My second favorite at FC! Many strands of tiny black glass beads with gold accent pieces make a simple yet beautiful piece that will look great against a light-colored backdrop.

It seems as if the floral themed statement necklaces from this summer won’t be going away anytime soon. This is wonderful because you’ll be able to wear them now during fall and well into next spring and summer. Normally flowers seem to be reserved primarily for spring and summer accessories and jewelry. This year though, designers have been bringing out some lovely blooms for fall and winter as well.

Vera Wang has released a collection of stunning and dramatic bib necklaces for Fall 2009, and this soft grey ribbon rose necklace is part of it:

The “Rosette” tie necklace is accented with clear crystal floral rosettes and fastens with a black velvet ribbon.
