It’s almost Halloween, and in this economy, we aren’t all prepared to blow loads of cash on pricey wigs and hair pieces to complete our costume.

Steal Blake’s Emmy Look

At this year’s Emmy awards, long, messy braids, and wavy, rumpled up-dos were the most popular hairstyles on the red carpet.
I consulted Moulay Yacoubi, a celebrity hair stylist at New York’s exclusive Pierre Michel salon who has worked with Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman, Elizabeth Hurley and Kate Moss.
My goal? Easy tips for achieving a glamorous “messy braid” like the one Blake Lively wore at the Emmy’s. Turns out it’s quite possible!

I just came across a really interesting article, “Hollywood Hair: What Goes Around Comes Around” on Elle.com.
It is a visual look at how all of today’s stars are copying the icons of the past with their hairstyles, i.e. Dita copying Liz Taylor, Aggy Deyn copying Twiggy, January Jones copying Veronica Lake, etc.
