Stockings… we don’t use them as much anymore. It seems more convenient to pull on a pair of pantyhose or simply go with nothing on our legs, but I thought that the history of stockings was kind of interesting.
They can be traced by to the first century AD. They are Roman in origin, a kind of sock designed to protect the feet. As time passed, they became thinnner and longer. Suddenly stocking were considered a topic not to be discussed in polite company as legs were seldom seen. Things sure have changed!!

Stocking Woes

It never fails, I have somewhere to go and I can’t find a pair of stockings that doesn’t have a run in them. Why didn’t I notice that before??
Or if it isn’t a run, it’s a snag in the worst possible place. So, the easiest way to always be prepared is to keep a spare pair unopened in the back of your drawer. And the minute you open the package, replace it.
I just don’t know why it took me so long to come up with this idea.
