To go with my gorgeous new DVF second wedding dress, I am wearing these fabulous white leather slingback sandals by Nine West. My aunt and grandmother picked them out for me long distance, and luckily they fit like a dream.
I love the barely there straps of these sandals, because they are dainty and don’t compete with my dress at all. The heel height is listed at 3″, but they don’t feel that high. I recently snagged a pair of sandals for better than 70% off… which got me thinking – why not take advantage of the amazing sales happening at this time of year?
I wouldn’t recommend sinking a lot of money into a really trendy shoe or purse, but why not save some $$$ on classic colors or shapes that you’ll be able to use for years? This is not the time to buy wacky colors or trendy finishes – but accessories like these “Narcissa” pumps from Boutique 9:

There’s no point in wearing summer’s strappy sandals if your feet aren’t ready to show off
I just got to try out a new product from Spongeables, called “Pedi-scrubs”, that should help keep your feet in strappy-sandal condition.
Pedi-scrubs are a two sided sponge (one side is soft, for skin and the other is a pumice sponge for soles) infused with soap. They did a great job of buffing my heels (where I’m prone to getting calluses) and were gentle enough for my toes.
