Jessica Szohr & Leighton Meester Sunglasses

When it comes to sunglasses, are you more of Jessica’s Szohr’s style or Leighton Meester’s style? Recently the Gossip Girl real-life best buds were spotted out doing some boutique shopping in Nolita. I think both of their personal styles are expressed in their sunglasses.
Jessica Szohr is wearing an oversized pair of flat top metal and plastic sunglasses. This style is similar to the Clubmaster with the combination of materials and the patterned or colored top accent piece. Her sunglasses have translucent brown rims and brown lenses with a flashy snakeskin pattern across the top. These sunglasses fit perfectly with Jessica’s …read more
Where to Part?

It may seem a minor part of our style–no pun intended–but the location of our hair part can define how we look – and moving that part can change our entire appearance!
Don’t stress though. I consulted celebrity stylist Robert Ramos, and he gave us some fabulous tips and tricks to find the most flattering part for our face!
Long-Faced Gals
If you have a narrow face, avoid center parts because it elongates and extenuates the narrowness of the face. Opt for a low-deep side part to add width to the face and make it appear less narrow.

Sling on a Jersey Scarf

I was browsing the Old Navy plus-size fashions when I ran into some cool jersey scarves that are colorful, gorgeous, flowy, and attractive. It might be “one size fits all,” but it was a surprise find for me, and one you might appreciate! If you’re not a fan of the multicolored stripes, they also have it in solids, as well as other color combinations with stripes.
Sunny style for $10 is something I can really get on board for–it’s also soft, gauzy, and fun. What about you? Are you going to be wearing a supremely lovely scarf for late summer or …read more
The Fashion Show: Episode 4 Best and Worst

This week on The Fashion Show, Reco won with his teeny little black minidress designed to compliment Yves saint Laurent mesh heels, which happen to be some of the hottest shoes to step off the runway. An advantage for him? Yes, I think so.
My personal favorite is still Angel’s gorgeous shirt dress, paired with blue and red Stella McCartney heels. This dress is just so funky and wearable – it just looks effortlessly chic, which I think takes a tremendous amount of skill. I hope Angel can keep up and continue delivering in the coming weeks.
I also really enjoyed Daniella’s …read more

Last night’s episode of The Fashion Show highlighted one of my favorite things in the entire world…shoes. The end result of this fantastic episode was a series of dresses that were the strongest collection so far in the series. Well, except for Merlin. But we’ll get to that later.
There was no wasting time – the designers met with Laura Brown from Harper’s Bazaar magazine and immediately started in their challenge…create a pair of eco-friendly shoes for Elizabeth Olsen of Olsenhaus pure vegan shoes from a box of organic materials and plain ankle boot. Reco’s team was super strong and Johnny was …read more

This week is Episode #4 of The Fashion Show and the words women all over the world swoon for are the focus of attention. That’s right…you know what I’m talking about…shoes.
The mini-challenge puts the designers to the eco-friendly test, with a new print for Olsenhaus pure vegan shoes on the agenda. Good for the environment and chic…now that’s a trend worth following.
For the elimination challenge, a common female problem is the crux of the matter…what do you do when you fall in love with a gorgeous pair of shoes, and have nothing in your closet to go with it?

Remember our resident male hair model, Tom? He was awesome enough to volunteer to go under the knife (err, scissors), one more time, this time at Ted Gibson Salon in New York City.
We sent Tom to Jeff Chastain, one of the star stylists at Ted Gibson. He’s from rock-centric Seattle, and known for red carpet styling, and some of his celebrity clientele includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Jane Fonda, Kathy Bates, Marcia Gay Harden and Emily Van Kamp.
What Jeff foresaw for Tom was something of an “evolutionary” style, where rather than have a new look all at once, he would grow …read more
