Dresses. I can’t get enough of them. They’re like cardigans. If I had enough time and money I would have one in every color and every style. Some people get so bent out of shape because they aren’t pants, but some days..I just don’t feel like putting one leg in and another leg in. Just throwing something over my head is much easier. Easy is the name the game with this Nicole Miller Teal lurex silk chiffon ‘Sumana’ dress as well.

The dress is a dark teal with gold, purple and pink detailing around the bust. The deep v and knot detailing make it even more fabulous. It’s a tad bit too dressy for an everyday dress though, it’s probably better for a fun summer night on the town or one of those many weddings you’ve been invited to instead of a casual Friday at the office or grocery shopping with the kids. Earlier this weekend I caught a woman wearing a denim tuxedo. You know the look, denim from head to toe. She had on a denim vest and jeans on. I wish I had the heart to tell her it was fashion faux pax. Alas, I wasn’t going to walk up to complete stranger and say, “Hey! You look a mess…in your denim tuxedo! You shouldn’t be wearing denim from top to bottom!”

I love denim, don’t get me wrong. I’m wearing jeans right now, but I don’t think I’ve worn a denim vest since 1991. Yikes! Thinking about wearing the two together gives me the creeps. Anyway. If you love the matchy-matchy look of denim, then consider putting it together in a dress.

I have decided that when it becomes time for me to splurge for a new summer dress, I am going to buy a maxi dress. I love how you can just throw them on and go.
