If you look at pictures of my feet throughout the years you will sbe taken on an evolutionary adventure of fashion. In 1999, I was wearing rubber flip-flops from Old Navy, by 2006 I was wearing Teva flip-flops and last year I moved by way to more work appropriate leather flip-flops.

Sandals, Sandals, Sandals. I love them with all my heart. I know one of my fellow bloggers here at Splendicity, Kori, doesn’t appreciate a flat sandal as much as I do. But, too bad! I have a hard time not getting jealous when read the blogs of people who live in warmer climates than I do. What do you mean, you can’t wear a t-shirt outside anymore?  I’ve got a foot of snow outside my window!
I need to remind myself that the time will come when I can slip into the glorious “Sammie” sandal by Luichiny – complete with red satin flower:

Now, before I begin – I will freely admit that I am grumpy.  I may be slightly less forgiving when it come to questionable accessories than I might normally be.
Even so…
These sandals from Sigerson Morrison just don’t seem quite right to me:

Is it the braided patent leather?
The layers of leather circles on the top of the sandals?
Or the white leather ties that stick out like little fingers – how long until your cat chews those off?
At least I don’t think it’s a mystery why the sandal is now on sale, for a measly $274.0 – better than $429.00!

I think I’m traumatized.
I need something to convince me it’s still summertime!  I need more long, hot days – more time to drink iced coffee on patios – I don’t want to have to wear a jacket yet!
