]]> Sometimes I like the combination of girly and tomboy styles for the beach.  I love the look of a baseball style hat on top of messy hair with a bikini and cutoffs.  You can be comfortable enough to play some beach games and shield your eyes from the sun while still looking pretty cute.  Sometimes that billed cap is just the perfect accessory for this laid back look.

Hat designer New Era has some perfect billed hats for the summer that are made specifically for women so they fit great and have really cute and girly designs.

This mesh and cloth billed hat has adorable purple embroidered flowers on a brown and pink plaid bill.  This has become my new favorite baseball hat!  I really won’t make a beach trip without it this summer.  It’s comfortable, has a really flattering fit, and the cutest pattern!

Again I love the combination of girly and tomboy with this hat.  It has a military style flat top hat paired with a dainty eyelet patterned fabric.  This soft short-billed style is popular right now and this hat looks super cute on!  It also comes in a white eyelet fabric.

]]> I woke up this morning to quite a shock.

The world was white.

It’s been lovely and warm in my neck of the woods – so warm in fact that I had put away my winter clothing and started to break out my open toe sandals again.

Oh well…

I need a little reminder of summer today.  Light, fresh prints, and summery colors are the order of the day!

My first pick?  The lovely “Espadrille” tote by Saldarini:

Just like it’s namesake shoe, it features a braided jute bottom and classic striped cotton fabric.

The “Tory” tote by Tory Burch features a bold palm tree print and patent leather accents:

My last pick is a little more upmarket, but with it’s light, crisp colors and detailing, the “Crisp Anniversary Signature” shopper by Dooney & Bourke fits the bill as a great summer bag:
