The Beauty & Style channel is having a cancer-awareness month so I thought I really should join in! After all, you can protect yourself and shop for accessories – it’s the perfect combination

Sun hats are a great way to keep the sensitive skin around your face protected (and reduce wrinkles too!). The “Squishee” sun hat from Eric Javits is a breathable mix of cotton, rayon, vicose and nylon and is made in the USA!

Sunglasses are another must-have – they’ll help prevent premature aging, skin cancer and even cataracts. Make sure that your sunnies have both UVB & UVA protection though.

I personally like wraparound shades like these Gucci horse bit sunglasses:

Did you know that the only truly proven anti-aging trick is to avoid too much sunlight? Sunburns can wreak havoc with your skin and can even cause skin cancer. Isn’t it worthwhile to avoid the burn, especially if you can do it in something cute like this?

Sun Hat… Mega Bucks

I don’t usually like hats with brims this big, but the minute I saw this one… there was just something about it.

Could you see yourself in something like this? I think that it works especially well with the black dress. In fact, I couldn’t imagine wearing a different color.
