When you’re plus-sized, those fold down athletic waistbands can be really problematic. While you might think they look super comfy, they “cut you in half” by squeezing your stomach and generally make things not so pretty (especially if you’re going for a smooth look for the gym!).

I have a new favorite long-sleeved shirt from SWAK Designs, and since it’s affordable and good for spring, I thought I’d share. You can pick it up starting at size 2X (which works perfectly for 1X gals, too), and it goes all the way up to 5X. Color combos include blue and white as well as this cocoa shade, shown, and the wrist and hip band details make it look more expensive than the $29.99 price tag. Soft, stretchy, and great for lounging, I recommend it highly!

I love this top from SWAK Designs: it’s bold and cute, and you’ll find plenty to match with it, too. Those cool white buttons add just the touch to make this top a nice conversation piece. I love the way it’s styled here in the photo, with that great scarf in her hair! I’m getting tons of styling ideas here, from my white jeans (really, I kid you not) to a pair of roll-cuff bermuda shorts and wedges.
