Cozy Sweaters from Urban Outfitters

Its almost cold enough here in perpetually sunny Southern California to  need a sweater or cardigan for most of the day (not just evenings!). There’s nothing like snuggling into a cozy sweater or sweater coat on a chilly day.  With that being said, I spotted three fabulous sweaters from Urban Outfitters that will definitely will look great and come in handy during the cold wintry days.

Ecote Blanket Cardigan ($48)
byCorpus Pleated Sweater ($68)
Silence & Noise Intarsia Cardigan ($68)
I love, love the second cardigan! This is the type of cardigan that will look good when worn with a casual outfit of …read more

Stay Warm, Cozy & Fashionable

It’s the time of year when people start to bring out their warm and cozy clothing.  Sweaters, jackets and shawls all get a workout when the leaves start to color and the air feels a little crisp in the morning.
But what’s a fashionista to do if you don’t want to look like everyone else in the same fleece jacket or bulky sweater?
Check out what the indie designers are doing, of course!
Etsy has more than 200 pages of sweaters alone.  That’s not including other cool-weather clothing like shawls, wraps or jackets.
If you’re in the market for something new and cozy – …read more

Must Have Hooded Sweater by Krelwear

I have written of knitwear designer Karelle Levy in the past, because I am completely freaking head over heels for her line, Krelwear. She makes knitwear basics that are luxe, comfortable, and as far from basic as you can possibly get. She makes all her designs in small batches, so you can rest assured that you won’t see a bunch of other chics rockin’ your same ensemble. Check this hooded sweater:

The long, slouchy style means that you can wear it as a tunic, or for the daring, a mini dress. I love the extra length on the arms, and the …read more

1993…I’ve Missed You..and Your Fashion…

The more and more I take a look at the Fall 2009 looks the more I think I should have held on to my second grade wardrobe. The leggings, the dresses, the sweaters, the velvet, the ankle boots….where do I stop? It’s literally like I’m traveling back to 1993. All I need to find is my cassette of Mariah Carey’s Dreamlover that I made.
That cassette is long gone and my friends from second grade are even farther gone (aside from a select few) but, this Stripey Dog Merino Sweater from Bella Freud with a strategically placed signature white dog logo …read more

The Art of Picking the Right Cardigan

You all know by now that I’m a sucker for a camisole and a cardigan. If I could get away with wearing a cardigan and a cami every day of the week, I would. But, what length of cardigan should you wear? The tiny itsy-bitsy almost bolero style cardigan? The regular jacket style cardigan or the duster style cardigan? So many choices!

The Short Cardigan
This is the cardigan that you wear just to cover up your arms. It’s super chic.  This style will work if you have a a small to medium size chest. It probably will look fabulous. I wish …read more

Kimono Sweater for Spring

Well, I’m going to put winter behind me for today and look ahead to spring. It might still be a little too early for tank tops to wear on their own, but this sweater makes the perfect accessory to cover them up! Just think of all the mileage you could get out of this piece!

Fisherman Cable Cardigan

I think that I will take back everything I have ever said about cardigans. They aren’t boring any more. If this is what we can expect in the future, I will be lining up to buy more.
