I Love This Swimsuit (4X Only)

Isn’t this swimsuit to die for? Unfortunately, I just found it in the sales section, which means that 4X girls will get some stylish solutions, but not me! This gorgeous halter-top number has some great red straps that arc backwards in a cool design and a dark navy ground to minimize lumps and bumps. I love the fact that the underwire doesn’t make it look like a support garment (small feat right there!), and it even has ruching details. Adore!
The same style is also available in other colors, so have a look and let me know if you’d wear this …read more
When is the Best Time to Buy Swimwear?

If you’re still waiting to perfect that beach bod, haven’t found the perfect fit, or just haven’t found time to find the perfect swimsuit for this season, don’t fret! Anytime the sun is shinning on your side of the hemisphere is a good time to buy swimwear. However, there are specific times to look for sales and specials.
If you buy your suit during the start of the season (Spring Break anyone?) you’ll probably get some type of introductory price. Sorry all, that time has come and gone. But, keep that in mind for next season!
If you think that putting it …read more
I Just Might Go One-Piece This Year

After years in bikinis, I’m trying to go for a new look–yikes. I think I’m going to go for the one-piece swimwear this year, which is a scary proposition, but definitely one that I feel enthusiastic about trying to pull off after checking this swimsuit out! This ruffle-front tank is available in Tall, Misses, and Plus sizes (which is why I am obsessed with JCPenney), AND is currently on sale for a mega-discount of $49.99. You can grab it in plus sizes from 16W or Misses/Talls up to 16.
Doesn’t it have just the cutest vintage vibe? There’s something about …read more
Juicy Couture Silver Butterfly Cover-Up

Covering up after a day at the beach, the pool, or whatever your choice of water activites may never be this much fun again once you pick up this Juicy Couture Beach Butterfly Cover-Up Dress.
It’s not your normal throw on and look like you came out of the the water cover-up. It’s beyond that! The smocked waist creates a fashionable blouse effect that everyone will be drooling over. The keyhole up on top is snazzy too and pumps up the “dress” effect and takes away from the actual “cover-up” feel. I adore the shimmer from the butterflies and the turquoise color too. But, if …read more
A True Investment: The Expensive Swimsuit
April 19, 2009 by Ashley Shute

I previously mentioned that I love bargains! I love them, I love them, I love them! I love fashion too, though. And sometimes, to be fashionable, and reasonable, you need to invest in some expensive (and luxurious items) to make it work (as Tim Gunn would say)!
As this swim season starts I have contemplated buying a new swimsuit. This happens every two to three years for me, just because I buy expensive swimwear.
Some people choose to buy lots of inexpensive pieces that they can wear at all different places and times. However, this is one time when I disagree with …read more
Attention: Avenue is Having a Swim Sale
Up to 40% off on swimwear? I am so there! This swimsuit from Avenue was slashed from $89.95 to a much more reasonable $52.99. You get to take advantage of an awesome silhouette that maximizes the bust and minimizes the belly (yay!), and gives you that perfectly trim shape that we all crave. Tummy tamer, attached foam cups, and attached swim bikini bottom underneath the modesty skirt. Yay!

Monif C. Swimwear
Oh, yes, it’s here: and it looks amazing. Feast your eyes on these swimsuits that can be adjusted on the side to show more or less hip, and that feature a rather plunging neckline to display your cleavage. I’m definitely getting the Trinidad Ruffle Swimsuit, directly below, but you might want to check out all of them if you want to see all the gorgeousness going on.

Featured Swimsuit: New Infinity Two Piece
How I love this swimsuit from Swimsuits for All. I’ve always thought that skirt bottoms are ultra-cute, especially when they don’t have the usual flared, ruffled look that I’ve seen around. Thankfully, this skirt also comes with an attached swimsuit bototm underneath so you don’t need to think about layering too much.

New Favorite Swim Top: Blouson Bandeau
I was so very excited to find an amazing blouson swim top, which appears only rarely in the plus swimwear world, looking tempting over at SwimOutlet.com. This is a gorgeous piece that’s beautifully tailored for those of us with a bit of an apple shape but awesome shoulders. I want to buy this piece today. . . maybe I should, since it’s my birthday and all.
Oh yeah– it’s under $30.00. Is it wrong for me to say that I can’t wait for the beach? It’s the truth!

Spring Break Swim
Are you headed out on a spring vaca or spring break? I found some really cool cover-ups over at Always for Me– they’re simple, but they’re devastatingly hot! I can imagine these worn on a cruise or or right at the pool. You can wear a strapless dress with all your bandeau swimsuits, too: just gorgeous. Available in tons of colors.
Check out Always for Me Sport.
