This shirt is totally unisex. It’s a youth medium, so it would probably fit me just as well as this nice-lookin man.

The shirt comes in other colors of text and languages too. I actually like just about everything that CubistLiterature makes.

Betsi from Zlanarama’s (my most recent take five interview) said she loved Kid Pirate, so I went over there to check it out.

Hurray of all hurrays, Kid Pirate not only has adorable totes and tees, they come in plus sizes! I wish more designers would do this, especially indie designers.

At first glance, I thought this was a teeshirt pictured with a nifty collar. Nope.

The collar is part of the teeshirt, which is an interesting look. The vintage rose pattern is a stark contrast, and somehow complementary to the hand painted and silk-screen La Femme Opprimee drawing.

Sam Trout is a friend of Ruffeo Hearts Lil Snotty, one of my recent obsessions. His work is pretty, simple and complex. He’s mainly working on printed t-shirts, with artsy details and sometimes decorative stitching.

My favorite pieces are the all-over prints. I can be pretty picky about prints, but Sam’s are light, delicate, but really complex. There are layers of prints over others and way more cool than anything you’re going to get at Forever 21. Most prints come in different colors.

Sam also makes menswear in the shape of tees, polos and sweatshirts.

I really like this pinstripe shirt, which would look good under a blazer with some jeans. It’s a step up from those t-shirt tuxedos.

Oh, and I forgot the coolest part about Sam’s work — he draws most of the artwork himself.

it’s super tuesday, have you voted?

I’m such a sucker for a cute tee. Shana Logic made this cute girly worm tee, in addition to her other wonderfully graphic tees. I like this one cuz of the bright color and the cute design. ($18)
Her shop, which I just discovered also has  jewelry, art, home stuff and some clothes for guys, which is pretty hard to come across in the indie world.
