The best thing about Halloween, besides vampires and ghosts and parties, is obviously candy. If you’re not the type to don a real costume, and honestly, I think there’s no excuse for that, then at least get into the spirit with a festive tee.

I have something against totally plain tees. I don’t know what it is, but unless it’s layered under something else, I just don’t wear them. Maybe because everyone else does. The combination of soft, delicate silk blouses with black jeans is a favorite of mine. I love the textual contrast between silk and denim, and the high-low casual chic vibe. This Dark Side tee by Jane Ane Marie is really killing it in terms of style. It’s so supple and sophisticated, but totally rock-n-roll.

Last week,, I got a new tattoo: a sparkling red ruby in the crook between my left shoulder cap and my collar bone. All my BFFs are getting their own respective gemstones, too, cuz there’s nothing like a little permanent body bling.
