Once in a while I’ll come across a handbag that will cause me to ooh and ahh. As you all know, I love satchel shaped bags. My arm may be sore from carrying my bags on the crook of my elbow but it doesn’t stop me from buying them. The newest Versace satchel makes me want to sell of some of my bags in order to make room for it.
I’m loving the colour of this Versace New Couture Satchel ($2500). The white leather is so luxurious. This would be fantastic as a ‘winter white’ bag. The gold signature …read more

Design Profile: Christopher Kane for Versus
August 21, 2009 by Tracey Duncan

Christopher Kane, a relative newcomer on the fashion design scene, became something of a darling last year with his line of gorilla printed dresses and tees. These babies have sold to Dallas socialites and rock-n-roll heartthrobs alike, and I would have one of my own if they didn’t retail for way over the price of my rent. Anyhow, earlier in the year Mr. Kane announced that he would be pairing up with Versace’s diffusion line, Versus, in creating a line of accessories. Immediately I began to look forward to over-the-top leather boots with miniscule pricetags. Oops. Let’s just say that …read more

As summer ends and we begin to transition into Fall so should our fragrances. Put away those tropical, fruity and beach inspired scents and break out the deeper, woodsy, sensuous ones. There are quite a number of perfumes and colognes that will suit each personality and occasion. Give someone you love a new scent to celebrate the new season!
For Her:
Kat Von D Saint ($55) – Is she the innocent type? This scent is a blend of mandarin and plums with dashes of caramel, exotic florals, vanilla and musk.
Kat Von D Sinner ($55) – Or is she a little more …read more
Fun Floral Appliqués by Versace

I usually tend to shy away from any bag with appliqué details as they tend to veer towards the ostentatious and gaudy side of the vast handbag spectrum of style. However, these Versace handbags are well worth a closer look.
The Versace Flower Appliqué Jacquard Satchel ($2490) is a luxe bag with the signature greek key jacquard pattern in a pretty purple shade. The double handle satchel can be hand carried or worn on the crook of your arm. It’s trimmed in a tonal patent and smooth leather. The floral appliqué gives it a playful touch and dresses it up.

When I shop for a new handbag, criteria number one is is simplicity. I don’t require a lot of bells or whistles, just give me a scrumptious leather bag in just the right shape and style and I’m good to go. However, there are women who love a handbag that calls attention to itself. Handbags that have a lot of details, are works of art and sometimes bought solely as show pieces. Here are just a few I’ve found of these highly embellished and detailed handbags…

I don’t know about you but I love white, cream, ivory and off-white handbags. I love how simple, clean and crisp they look with dark and light coloured ensembles. I recently purchased a cream handbag (a Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag to be specific) which I love but I’ve yet to use it! The thing is, I’m afraid of getting that pretty and pristine handbag stained or dirty!
But I have to get over my fear, because there are a multitude of white handbags cropping up this Spring and they’re just begging to be taken home! Just look at these fabulous …read more
