I’m loving the colour of this Versace New Couture Satchel ($2500). The white leather is so luxurious. This would be fantastic as a ‘winter white’ bag.  The gold signature Versace Medusa medallion accents this bag quite nicely and the greek key logo quilting is divine.

White is such a beautiful non-color and this bag is truly beautiful. However, if I were to buy this dreamy satchel, I would definitely have to think it over. Not because it’s not a fabulous bag but because of the colour. White is so clean, pristine – I’d be afraid to dirty it. I’m not one to place my bags on the floor (ew!) or any other surface I’m not sure of, so I’m not worried about that. What I would be worried about are the handles and any possible colour transfer from jeans or whatever else.

Getting yourself a white or light coloured handbag is sometimes a challenge. Generally, you should treat your handbags as if they were your “kids” (or am I the only one who does that? ) and if you get a white one like this, you’ll have to take extra special pre-cautions.

Versace & Kors Free Gifts With Purchase

Okay, so maybe I won’t be able to buy any of these lovelies right off the bat, but designer knock-offs of exactly this stuff are coming soon to a discount retailer near you. The collection is comprised of nine shoes, nine bags, and a whole slew of jewelry. It is subdivided into themes: diamonds, moschettone, and labyrinth, which just about run the gamut of what is considered fashion forward right now.

The diamonds line sparkles with giant crystals and pin thin stiletto heels. The moschettone line is generally black, leather, and pretty s&m looking, with a hint of practicality (usable buckles) thrown in. And the labyrinth line is replete with lushly patterned leather and velvet. All of these designs, however on the pulse of fashion they are, bear the mark of Kane’s unique and bizarre vision, a hyper-feminine aesthetic that is structured and more than a little bit dangerous.

The double handle satchel can be hand carried or worn on the crook of your arm.  It’s trimmed in a tonal patent and smooth leather. The floral appliqué gives it a playful touch and dresses it up.

A great tote to carry for work or as a daily bag is this Versace Floral Appliqué Jacquard Tote ($1960). The style is classic and versatile but the two floral appliqués makes it un-stuffy.  The subtle greek-key pattern on the jacquard fabric is another nice touch.

This pink (Rosa) coloured nappa leather handbag by Versace reminds me of those gift bows you would find on presents. And essentially that is what you’re getting – a huge bow that happens to be attached to a dome shaped bag. The top handles have logo-engraved stud joints, the bow is a mix of smooth leather and top-stitched leather detailing. The Versace logo plate is the icing on this cake.

Versace has created a number of these rose petal detail leather handbags in different sizes and shades. This one is about 14″H x 15″W x 4 1/2″D and made of soft black nappa leather. It’s definitely a show stopper handbag.

This hobo by Christian Louboutin is a little more subdued compared to the previous handbags, The calf leather is accented with gold tone hardware and pleats. Along with the pleat details there are angled zippers running across the front of the bag. It doesn’t mention of these zippers are functional or merely ornamental but I’m thinking it’s the latter. Another ornament is the hanging CL logo tag which is actually pretty cute on it’s own.

This Thomas Wylde shoulder bag is.. well, wild. The pebble-grain leather has a nice sheen and it measures 13″x 14.5″x 3.5″. The bag features, antique polished silver hardware, skull engraved studs, adjustable buckle attachments, whip-stitched detail at the edges of the opening, fringe at the front and sides with metal beads at the end. Whew! The quilted satin interior even has a barbed wire print just to add a little more oompf.

Ah, the pièce de résistance! This Dior bag is something to be behold. The intricate Japanese knot is the focal point on this bag. Not only is the knot something you’d want to examine up close but, there are two serpents at the handle which act as the ‘ring’ attachments. The rolled leather handle of the bag also feature twist tie details and if all that wasn’t enough, a Louis XVI tag with Christian Dior logo dangles from the strap.

As you’ve probably noticed all these details and embellishments come with a hefty price tag. It takes a lot of work and man-power to create these intricate and highly-detail oriented handbags.
